Tips and guides for this excellent game by the amazing Platonic. Would you believe it's his first ever game??
This game is full of little tricks, only some of which are listed below. Please feel free to add more in your comments below.
** This guide was based on version 1.0084 so if any tips are out of date, please add your comment below **
** UPDATE 25.06.2020: V1.010 is now out and a lot of content has been added to the game. What you see below is now more of a 'Newbies guide' to the game and is more or less just enough to get you through the early part of the game. I'm not going to update this guide anymore. Feel free to copy my guide into your own guide, just mention my name somewhere please.
**CONTENTS: **
1. Basic tips for newbies
2. Intermediate tips for those who are familar with the game.
3. Advanced tips for these who are exploring more deeply.
**BASIC TIPS**
* Do your first Prestige as soon as possible.
* Do your first Transcension as soon as possible.
* Do your first Reincarnation as soon as possible.
**Currencies:**
* Coins: The basic currency. When you start the game, you buy buildings, which generate Coins. Use coins to buy Coin Upgrades and to buy more buildings.
* Diamonds: You earn them by Prestiging. Use to buy Diamond Upgrades, and to buy buildings in the Prestige tab. These buildings generate Crystals which multiply your coin production.
* Mythos: You earn them by Transcending. Use to buy Mythos Upgrades, and to buy buildings in the Transcension tab. These buildings generate Shards which boosts your Multiplier Power, which in turn boosts your Coin production.
* Particles: You earn them by Reincarnating. Use to buy Particles Upgrades, and to buy buildings in the Reincarnation tab. These buildings generate Atoms which boosts the power of all your buildings, and also boosts your coin production multiplier.
* Quarks: Obtained by completing Achievements, Saving your game, and by entering promo codes. Used in the Shop when it opens.
* Offerings: Obtained (at first) by Reincarnating and Transcending. Used to buy Runes, which boost various other mulipliers.
* Obtainium: Obtained (at first) by Transcending. Used to buy Researches, which boost various other multipliers.
* In general, spend all your Coins, Diamonds, Mythos, and Particles as soon as you get them. It isn't worth saving them up. Building costs increase so fast you will still have huge amounts unspent.
* Upgrades, Acheivements, and Researches are numbered by row and column. So in the Research Tab, the research that is third row down from top, thirteenth column from left, is called '3-13'
**INTERMEDIATE TIPS**
**Achievements: **
Completing Achievements give various boosts and multipliers - try to complete as many purple and red Achievements as possible. Hover over the icon for a description. Some need careful reading.
* Generator Achievements (Cog wheel icons): They are generally quite easy to get earlier than other acheivements. Many people find them confusing. To get the first one ('Out of Order'):
* * Turn off Generator Shop Autobuy (if you have it).
* * Turn off Hover-to-buy
* * Transcend
* * Buy the SECOND generator upgrade FIRST. ie. click on the icon labelled 'IV-II', before buying any other generator upgrade.
* * Achievement gained! Now transcend again and go for another generator achievement.
**Upgrades:**
* When doing Prestige, Transcends, or Challenges, you will need to rebuy upgrades, until you are able to unlock other upgrades that let you buy autobuy upgrades and automate other parts of the game.
* Automation Shop upgrades are often missed, so if you are stuck at a lower level than you were before, you probably forget to re-buy these too. Getting autobuy for the Automation Shop comes at a later stage in the game.
* When you get around 1000 Mythos, (some say 10^10 Mythos) you will hit a wall. To get over this, buy Mythos upgrade 1-4, which multiplies coin production by 1.01 per transcension. Doesn't seem much? Transcend lots! Hold down T, or set auto transcend to 0 seconds. You should be able to get this upgrade to to 1e30 multiplier within a few minutes.
**Researches: **
* Do the green ones first for 1 obt each
* Get 3-11 for 5 obt as soon as possible - this gives you 1 obt every 60 secs. 3-12 and 3-13 will let you build this up quickly to 1 obt every few seconds. Then buy 3-14 as soon as you can. Depending on your other purchases, 3-14 will give you +1 to +3 obt per level even though it only says +1.
* In general, do all the researches in order of cost. Within a cost range, green first, then red, then Tax & other pink researches.
**Offerings & Runes: **
* When you first get Offerings, spend them all on Runes. All runes are roughly equally good at this stage.
* When you unlock Research, start saving your Offerings. 5-1, 5-2, 5-3 hugely multiply the impact of spending Offerings. Max these Researches, and buy Particle Upgrade 3-1 (1e30 Particles) then spend all your Runes.
* Level up your Runes keeping the cost of each Rune roughly equal. This is hard to track so don't worry about it too much. In each buying round, buy Dupe (gives bonus xp) and Thrift (bonus recycle chance) first then Speed and Prism.
* At some point, you will get a multiplier bonus that depends on your highest ever number of Offerings saved. This maxes at 100,000, so it's worth saving up to 100,000 when it becomes reasonably practical. This number can be checked in Settings.
**Challenges:**
* Get these Challenge numbers as high as you can. Each completed challenge gives decent bonuses. Check the Acheivement tab for extra bonuses from Challenges.
* Within the green Challenges, you can also do purple Challenges to get your numbers a little bit higher
* Each individual Challenge only takes a few seconds to do. If you haven't passed the mark within a few seconds to about a minute, abandon it.
**Transcends / Reincarnation timings: **
Early game: the best settings are shown on the Rune tab and Researches tab (if you have unlocked them yet). Ususally around r600/t3600 (seconds)
**Offline earnings: **
* Max out Research 2-6 and 2-7.
* After 1 hour offline, you get a percentage of your highest ever per second Obtainium income. This income figure can be checked in Settings. It may show zero but you are still earning obt, it's just too small to show on a per second basis.

> Thrift Rune maxes at 200 levels, so no point getting more than this.
More precisely, the recycling bonus maxes out at 200 levels. The Producer cost bonus applies beyond 200 levels, but is largely worthless compared to other rune upgrades..

This is wrong. Offerings are gained from all reset tiers (prestige, trancend, and reincarnate). Obtainium is gained from reincarnating, not from trancending.

Thrift rune also affects tax growth (very slowly) post 200, and that seems worth doing at some point - because that's a really powerful effect.

How am I supposed to transcend rapidly when it takes me a few minutes to build up e100 coins to be able to transcend? As far as I can tell, my best bet is to just stick it out to 1e6 mythos

Prestige until you max coin upgrade 12 if you haven't. Mythos upgrade 4 improves exponentially so you should see significant improvement in transcension times quickly

I am now realizing he meant there is a wall at 10^10 mythos, not 1000 mythos.

Intermediate tips are pretty good. The "hold down T" one especially, I didn't realise that was an alternative to autotranscend!

Done most of the things... having to grind through getting particles is a pain... in that gap between 1e8 and 1e16....

You get your first and most important Obtainium from your first Transcend. After that, yes various other sources open up.

That was implemented in a later update after I wrote the guide. Thanks for pointing that out. I've now updated the guide.

The basic idea is that higher upward slope means higher gains. Any upward slope means you will be seeing growth, but the higher slopes mean growth will be faster.
You will see on most (all?) graphs that it tends to bubble downward until about 600 seconds, where it suddenly jags into a more shallow slope. The reason this is the "optimal reset" at this point is that this bubble causes gradually greater and greater slopes (because of that slight bubble) until that 600 seconds, but then the sudden jag drops it from there, which then gradually drops the slope forever more. You will continue to accrue Offerings forever (I suspect), but the growth rate will continue to decline, making an earlier reset more viable. Just keep it above 600 seconds, mostly.

No, you don't get Obtainium from Transcending, only from Reincarnating.

Never reincarnated, can confirm

Should max Obtanium be t600/r3600? The way you have it, you'll never transcend, I believe.

I'm hitting a wall at slightly above 10^100 Mythos.
I've completed:
* Maxed out Coin Upgrade 12
* Maxed out Mythos Upgrade 4
* Challenge 1 x10
* Challenge 2 x5
* Challenge 3 x3
* Challenge 4 x2
* Challenge 5 x1
I can upgrade all coin upgrades in a fraction of a second after transcending. I can upgrade all but the last diamond upgrade within a couple seconds after that. I have all but the last Mythos upgrade. The generator upgrades up to 10^1250 coins and 10^1500 diamonds. The automation shop is fully upgraded.
But I just can't get further. None of the challenges are reasonably possible now, and gaining mythos looks like it's going to take a LONG, long time to get anywhere. Any advice?

Do you buy ALL of the mythos shard producers? Every producer will increase the grandmaster's production by 1.5% because of your challenge 3 completions. Also, what are your rune levels?
