I see the dev is active on discord. And people are playing the update on discord. And yet it's been almost 3 weeks since any update here on Kong. I figure i have patience to wait a few more days then i'll be on to another game.not sure why I even bothered to make this post.

I also do not know why you bothered to make this post.
More seriously, the 30 seconds you spent making this post could have been spent actually finding the information you are wondering about. It's posted in two different places and you're already aware of both of them, yet you didn't look.

I'm not one to reply to that kind of post, but I think, as a programmer, it as to be said. For as far as I can tell, this game as only one developer working on it, meaning Platonic does the conception, graphic design, programing, balancing and bugfixing. Also, Platonic does it for free, so we can assume they have other obligation in order to pay for their expense. Moreso, the stability of the game, its quality, and the speed of the new update, are to be commended. One only have to look to the "under review" section of Kongregate games how a game made without passion or by someone of less experience looks like. While I do admit the content is a bit lacking as of yet, and that is a valid critique, this game is still quite young, in fact less than two month as far as I can tell. Yet, it supassed most of the older games on the home page. If the lack of content is keeping you from fully enjoying the game yet, just put it in your playlist or your bookmark, and try it again a year or two from now. I can all but garranty it will become something special. So for now, it would seems it is goodbye, but I hope one day to see you again.

If you could just be patient and come back in a few days, there'd be a new update that adds content made public for everyone.

You might just as well play another game and come back later. Usually developers make game contents slower than we play.

Hello, I appreciate the feedback and to an extent I agree with you on the state of the endgame content. However:
* Making quality updates is my goal from now on, and extensive testing needs to be done in order to make sure that it satisfies players for at least as long as it takes me to make the next update, and comes out with minimal bugs
* For the most part I generally put as much time as I can into the game, faster development is simply not very possible unless I made a steady living off the game (and truthfully I never intend for that to be the case) or get helpers to make code. However, UI development and balancing is the largest bottleneck for releasing an update in my opinion.
* The next update is coming out within the week, with about 95% confidence. And it will last people at least a month, maybe even longer, before you start to run out of things to do!

Cool thanks for the info Platonic. I was getting a little frustrated myself being stuck unable to progress, but I can definitely wait a few days and then come back and enjoy all new updates. Looking forward to the update and thanks again for the great game.

Chill dude, my favorite game Sword Fight goes 6-9 months in between updates. 3 weeks is nothing.
