Im at around e520 particles, and am reaching e800 shards in the challenge, how musch further do i need to grind inorder to beat the challenge?

ya gotta massive boost your runes and just keep chugging along. No idea how long it took me but it wasnt pleasant and it wasnt fast. I'm pretty sure i had bought the max for nearly every available research by the time i got it unlocked too.

e800 particles with 435/350/175/250 runes
If you don't finish it in a minute, do not let it idle, you will not complete it.

The way to beat it is to boos up the runes. It will take long to get offerings normally, but what I did was:
Redeem all promotional codes.
Do a Reincarnation on the optimal reset time for offerings(Shows in the rune page), so it boost the potion value.
Use as many potions as necessary and spend the offerings boosting up the runes.
It's important to spend the offerings wisely too, as some runes (thrift and duplication) are better than the others.
That should get you to a point where you can beat the challenge
