Hi there, just discovered something odd and I thought I'd report it.
I've got a playthrough in between my first C9 and first C10 and just unlocked the research for unlimited challenge progression. When I entered C5, I realized that while my diamonds were going down, all OTHER statistics accumulated by the run (including coins. Mythos, and reincarnation Particle rewards) were actually INCREASING relative to not being in the challenge.

It's more pronounced in longer runs. My coin exponent caps out around 7.3 billion on a regular run, and I just left it on C5 for about 20 minutes and watched it climb to over 9 billion.

I think this is mostly because of the e150 Mythos upgrade. "Gain +25% free Accelerators and Multipliers, but ONLY while doing challenges. BOUGHT!"
It seems to be a quirk of the challenge that this upgrade can give more of a boost than the penalty from lost diamonds.
