ok so how does expeditions work?
I send my cube out but nothing really happens he's out for a couple of minutes and then he returns?!

he gets you resource in terms of space and iron. he needs to travel there and scans the field. the he moves on (travel) to the next one. space can be used to place hangars which gives you more robots

one thing I noticed is that you can start expeditions at lvl29, but as you only get scanning abilities at lvl30, all expeditions that you start before lvl 30 do absolutely nothing for you. So save yourself some time and actually level to 30 before you start with expeditions :)

Is it intentional that combat does not occur while offline? I'll send my cube&explorers out on an expedition where there are enemies, and then log off... only to return hours later, and the combat had not yet begun until I had logged in.

Speaking of combat... my cube has no weapons. How to add weapons?? I've looked through all the upgrades that I've got.

Your cube gains the ability to deal 1 damage/second at energy level 50. All damage multipliers are locked until you first reach that point, since they can do nothing without a base damage value.

thank you so much for this, I was just about to post how the "Cube exploration" upgrade does nothing. I just started a new, 7 hour long expedition after returning from a 5 hours long one, so I cancelled it and voila - it's not 7 hours, but only 2, all of a sudden.
