Well, I have this map called Holy Canyon with only Gems. I currently have 6,507 of them because of the map! However, I don't know what you spend Gems on. Can someone help me?

Gems are a "special resource" that become more and more common zone after zone. It is used to buy high-level housing structures (Collectors, Warpstations), Nurseries, equipment prestiges and Magmamancers. It is gained by Tributes (building unlocked at z17), killing Dragimps in the world, loot in maps and killing the Exotic Imp-orts Feyimps (world only), Goblimps, Jestimps and Chronoimps (maps only).
So, it is nothing really "special", as Bones could be
