The daily challenge desciption says, that I will gain +x% of helium, nullifium and dark essence. During the last daily challenge (300% extra) I managed to get 4 dark essences then finished the daily challenge and got the extra helium (as usually). Should I not get 12 dark essence? (I didn't receive any.) Or do I misunderstand something?
Please, consider, that this was the first time I cleared any zone above the 180th while having an active daily challenge and my highest reached zone was the 185th. So probably there are many things I don't know about the game and the rules.

The extra dark essence is applied as soon as you get it, not at the end of the run. If your first dark essence square gave you 4, it means you already got the extra 300%, as it should have only been one.

But I got the four dark essence one by one not at the same time. I don't quite remember, but the first zone had 2 and the second also, or something like this.

The multiplier is applied before rounding, which means if the amount of Dark Essence would have been below 1 even after the extra 300%, it just rounds up. The first 8 or 9 zones will only give 1 Dark Essence at a time, because the calculation for it stays under 1 until that point. The +x% Dark Essence calculation does work correctly.

Believe me, I read very often the wiki, but for this partucular question I didn't find answer there.
But anyway, since then I managed to test the dark essence gain in another daily challenge and now I understand it :-D So Deathlokke and TPKage of course was right, during the daily we get raised amount of dark essence and I understand why.
