Hi. Newish player here, and I just broke the planet for the first time.
What I don't understand is if there is a reason I would want to use the first formation -- the heap formation that doubles your HP but halves your attack. As far as I can tell, that means you can survive for twice as many rounds, but you do half as much damage, so you do the same total damage, but in more time. What's the point of that?

If you struglle with enemy that can one-hit you. It is better to hie emeny one time, than no at all.

Yeah, it is x4 health and /2 dmg and block.
And since after breaking the planet your block is suddenly a lot less useful than before it is pretty nce to have a way to increase your health, especially combined with the way bigger breeding timer. Sine you survive about x4 as long with only / the dmg you still deal x4/2=x2 the dmg you did before, when your breeding timer is too high.
And then you also still can micro, aka use the normal formation until you are low life and then switch to H to get the benefits of both formations.

What if there were a way to test multiple strategies simultaneously in real time, where the best stategy instantly becomes your latest save?
For example: On my next overnight run I can set up my test, then wake up to find which formation has given me the most progress.
No guessing. No analyzing. No backtracking.
(hint) - IE [ctrl-k]

Open the game in multiple tabs and use a different formation in each. Problem solved.
