The problem is caused by mixed contents (http and https), the solution is to allow unsecure content on the browser.
**Firefox**: click on the green lock at the begin of address bar: connection then disable protection.

if you need to enable flash content you have to allow it through the brick on the left of the lock icon.
**Edge** work on the same way just the icon is at the end of adress bar and look like a rectangle with a shield over it, you have to allow all the blocked content

**Chrome** and **Opera**, you have to right click on the icon of your desktop, select properties and add the the option " --allow-running-insecure-content " at the end of the path.
so the paths should look like this:
Chrome: "C:\Program Files (x86)\Google\Chrome\Application\chrome.exe" --allow-running-insecure-content
Opera:"C:\Program Files (x86)\Opera\launcher.exe" --allow-running-insecure-content

Helpful, but not safe, make sure to create NEW shortcut, open the program using that shortcut for the game only.. DO NOT SURF or go to other websites.. its not safe for a reason... If you want to do anything else, close your browser completely, in some cases restart your pc, then open up the browser using the original link without the exception for insecure content..
Kong needs to fix this as it puts everyone playing at risk...
