In the last 24 hours we have acquired 46 losses. I’m not counting the previous 24 hours or the 24 hours to follow. Just… The last 24 hours. I don’t mind losses, but this is a little excessive. Might I ask, “Why would you make it possible for someone to lose 2 weeks of playing time in 24 hours?” Oh wait forgive me… If it were just me I would quit your game and not bother telling you why first. So let me rephrase the last question. “Why would you make it possible for 40 people, to lose 2 weeks of playing time in 24 hours?” Is this normally how games work, or are you new to making them? Does it earn you extra money? I’m asking logical questions, and I’m sorry if they seem offensive. Well, partially sorry.
I don’t mind supporting a game that’s rewarding, hell I’ll support any indie game that’s even semi rewarding. But you Synapticon sir are a freak’n genius. You have some how managed to make a game that encourages people to constantly log on, charge epic amounts of money for virtual cards & energy, limit their ability to get the rewards by using the energy and in the end when it comes down to faction battles, you sell us frustration for our money and time. Did I mention you were a genius? The thing about this is, it’s bad business. I play a game to get away from my frustrations for a moment, not take on more. If I wanted to buy “frustration” I’d get a girl.
Synapticon, it’s a simple fix. Put a cap on how many times a Faction can be attacked in one day. 10 is acceptable, 48 is retarted. As for me, I don’t plan on playing this game for another month to make up for what we just lost. Consider this post a “Payback” post, directed at you. Believe me it’s justified. Anytime you grieve 40 people, you should be told off. Just saying…

I’m guessing that you’re with IFS.
I do find it sad that all your (40 guys’) hard work over the past few weeks has been practically erased :‘(. I don’t think the devs are going to do anything about this. And since Pescado evidently isn’t letting go either, you guys might as well quit the game or start with a new faction.
Wish y’all the best nonetheless.

To be fair, the griefer is not exactly the dev…
But I agree that the game should have limits on this sort of thing.

That is seriously screwed up. I’d love to see a response by Synapticon… I doubt we will, but we really should because this is a serious issue.

They taught us that warfare had become about destroying factions utterly. We learned from them. We never wanted to destroy any factions. We were perfectly happy just doing our thing, letting you do yours, and not trying to murder you in the face and deny you your levelups.

That’s brutal. We essentially have a pvp game with no restrictions, so this is inevitable. It needs limits.

A better solution would be to prevent factions from attacking the same factions within (say…) a week.
This would also prevent people from farming inactive factions or “feeding” other factions.

Repensum Est Canicula. Like I said, no matter what else you have to say about me, forgiveness will never be considered to be among my character flaws. I plan revenges beyond even death itself.

Wouldn’t work. At the top levels, factions have maybe about 3-5 viable targets to pick from. That means you get about 18 hours worth of combat, then everyone is locked out.

Then simply place this limitation upon lower leveled factions. Newb friendliness, or whatever.
A Lv5 or below faction cannot be hit by the same faction within a week.
’Course, ganking would still happen higher up, but yea, those would be the more competitive players. The casual players still get their fun. And the more competitive players…. still remain competitive I guess?

Maybe they could atleast just raise the stamina cost for each battle and it will work :/
I’m just saying that maybe 10 stamina per battle and 25 stamina per surge so taht they would even the odds instead of like 3 stamina per both attack and surge(?)
And possibly a fight or rank cap If im not mistaken that there is (?)

Given that this is happening to a level 6 faction, that means your proposal has zero effect whatsoever.

The number I proposed is arbitary. It could be any number.
Its up to debate which level would be the cut off for “casual” and “competitive”.

The noob rule mentioned above, would also apply to attacking. Meaning that factions level five and under cant attack the same faction in a certain amount of time. I would say a week is a bit excessive, but 4-5 days would be more reasonable.
|
|
|

4-5 days would require that there exist about 30 level 6 factions. There aren’t that many, so the level 5 factions would run out of targets before then. Plus, the entire business chases a moving target. It used to be that level **4** factions were highlevel, now being level 4 is only mediocre. Additionally, your proposal doesn’t actually work, I already know the countermove to that.

Or, God forbid, Synapticon could actually bother to enforce its TOS and start banning all of the alts and players that are being run by Pescado’s bot. Out of that list of attackers, what… three of those factions have non-bot officers that are actually declaring those wars and fighting them out? He’s not even bothering to be clever about it. Same old bots from the old bot factions. Locking Sparkle Motion without banning the cheating accounts is so unbelievably short-sighted that it defies reason. Now they’re all over the place, cleverly disbanding when they get to such a level where they are no longer damaging to faction points with their attacks and forming new, lower level factions to cause more damage. Everyone understands what is going on here but the developers apparently, and it isn’t like they have not already had their hands held all the way to the bot farm on this one.
I am super impressed with how well the actual bots fight though. Sincere kudos to Pescado on that entirely outside of anything else.
You developers ever going to get around to finishing the job on these bots? I mean “We have our own methods in place to detect exploitation.” is kind of hilarious considering this has been going on for months.

I think at the least the defender should have an advantage. For instance, get rid of surge and make the defending faction go first, the attacking faction last.
Also, don’t allow attacking lower level factions, or at least not more than 1 level lower.

Some caps and enforcement of ToS are definitely needed. Seriously.

Where is fair play? Where is fun? You know. It’s just a game:). Does it make you feel better if you force others to stop playing Tyrant? Does it make you happier when you attack 10 vs 1?

haha. i would post my list, but it looks similar. i wonder what bad things your parents did to you pescado, that you write “STILL HATE YOU” after month of playing revenge game that should entertain people, not make them leave.
at least 200 good players left cause of your actions. devs let you kill the game, no one else can stop you.
