Hello there,
When playing BasketDudes online, and depending on the region from where you are accessing the game, you should be instantly logged in into one of our lobby and game servers, or presented with a list of available ones to make a choice.
At present, the game auto-detects the region from which you are connecting, and assigns you a lobby and game servers with which you may have the best connectivity, as to attempt providing you (and to the rest of players) the best online playing experience possible.
It may happen, though, that if the latency of your connection is too high, you may not be presented with any option, and, thus, you may not be able to play BasketDudes :(
We have noticed this may happen in certain territories where there could be a governmental firewall preventing users to access directly our game servers, as that dramatically reduces the speed of your connection with sites/servers located abroad of your country.
Hope that helps but if you still experiencing trouble, please send us an e-mail at [support@bitoon.com](mailto:support@bitoon.com) indicating your BasketDudes’ nickname.

I have a somewhat similar problem (not really). In the middle of almost every online game I play, the game freezes. This forces me to control, alt, delete, which lowers my reputation a substantial amount. I honestly don’t know what you could do to fix this, but it’s fairly annoying. Thanks!
(P.S., This probably happens quite a number of other people, as I’ve seen some my opponents just stop and do nothing, then, about 15-30 seconds later, they leave the game. Also, this most likely happens because of my slow computer, which makes **everything** irritating.)

Hi Greenguylike!
What you describe is quite likely due to either you or your opponent having connectivity issues. Sometimes you just have to be a little be patient, though, as the system is trying to sync both players prior starting the match, although if it takes way too long… well… We are doing our best to improve that, by setting up more game servers all around the world and isolating regions, so users shall play there where they may have the best connectivity with our game servers. That way we should be able to minimize players with good connectivity “suffering” playing against users who don’t…
BasketDudes is not a very demanding game in terms of hardware requirements, so certainly you don’t really need a high end machine or anything like that :) Although, effectively, that may also affect the game’s performance and, hence, the connectivity. So you can also try fine tuning your video settings, by lowering the resolution and the level of detail and see if things improve.
If you are playing through the web-browser, you can also try playing BasketDudes [**stand-alone version**](http://www.basketdudes.com/downloads), a very thin client available for PC and MAC, which normally provides a much more reliable connectivity context for online play and a few more extras ;)
Lastly, you can also find some good advices on how to improve your connectivity on our [**Latency Guide**](http://www.basketdudes.com/game-guide/latency/). Check it out, as maybe there are still things you can do to improve that on your end ;)
Hope that helps…
— Thanks for playing BasketDudes!
