I hate it that almost nobody shows their upgrades when doing these ~~.~~ its almost as important as the layout itself
|
|
|
metadata
not really. just reduce the load on the system until you can support that load, then expand….. the layout is the important part, upgrades cahnge a lot depending on if you went water-heavy or not.
|
|
|
metadata
But i dont like whipping out my calculator to see what is minimum required levels to build the things :D Tried your build, spent 500trillion on upgrades, everything blew up… this is why i want to see the levels ~~.~~
|
|
|
metadata
start with the framework, add 1 gen at a time until something blows up, build back to one less than before…..
or go 2:1
i’ll get you numbers next time i’m there. made it to nukes, i’m a day or two away… maybe.

The build you have up in here is 27:1 or something… it got me interested since it uses fusion and it would over double my income. Like i said, tried it out, but i think my Gen max heat is too low since they blow up immediately, need to spend 100 trillion more just to test it out before i can actually use it on my real game.

|

oh. that one. yeah, i had a fairly high max heat and gen passive because of a prior build. it’s a clusterfuck and i don’t suggest you go for it :P

Oh, do you have better one somewhere else for map 4? just spent like an hour with a friend trying to figure what to upgrade to make that work xD

4:1 wet thermo? get can those super compact, just a little heavy on the gwp
else i’d go 2:1 wet thermo
|

Here’s the 4:1 wet thermo build I’m using at the moment on City (27 thermo / 108 generators). Requires groundwater pumps, but it’s pretty flexible about the level of upgrades as long as…
- Groundwater pumps produce at least as much water as two generators can consume
- Traditional pumps produce at least as much water as one generator can consume
- A thermo cell produces no more heat than four generators can consume
FWIW, my upgrades at the moment are Office Sell 12, Gen effect 61, Groundwater Pump prod. 7, Gen max water 22, thermo cell 7, thermo lifetime 2; it earns me 6.44b per tick.

|
|

you have a redundant pump.. i think… bottom row far right with the 2 gwp side by side…. if it starts failing, move the east normal pump to where the office is

How much are those offices upgraded to collect the money from that?

I initially had it set up like you describe and the result you see here is what I ended up with after tweaking until it stopped blowing up. Making sure every pump is connected to the generators it needs to support, and _only_ those generators, is a little complicated in that corner.

Office sell level 12.

that’s off since you have the same setup near the top.. oh well.
i normally have the gwp in the other orientation so i don’t have that problem in that corner.

I decided to stop upgrading and use the night and workday tomorrow to fund the City map.
Currently I lack some water to feed the holes. Otherwise it is to upgrade generator effect and generator water to support the next reactor level. It is quite fun to tweak the position of offices and various parts depending on the current available water supply. And why not put offices in the “hard spots”? Using the larger island for a reactor is only one square wasted

Currently running the exact setup in the pic, so I have values. Gives 228.88 mil/tick.
Sell – 10 Gen eff. – 55
Water prod. – 4 Water max – 5
Gen water – 11 nuke cell – 7
Any of this help?

What is a good water pump build for the City map? Just unlocked it. Don’t have fusion generators or ground water pumps yet. Having a hard time figuring what to do on that map right now without gwp

Thanks you Bottle122. That helped me a ton :D

Very similar build to bingeling

Can’t fully support the SW corner yet which would be 22.36m heat more per tick. Whatever. No Kred Extras.
Edit: I can now after upgrading Water pump production to Lv 6.

Are you going full research on Region now or mixing it up?

For now I am mixing it up. Once I gain more than triple my region income on city I will switch over and go full research. That will most likely be in the morning when I wake up.

you could try running half of your city wet and the rest dry

I found the heat pipes to be extremely effective in this game compared with the previous version. I’m at about 77% efficiency using 5 Thermonuclear and 2 nuclear. Turning in about $27xM/tick. I don’t have the upgrade levels of some of the guys. I found when placing the 6 the thermocuke that I had a water shortage on the lower right corner of maps 3. Cost 1.23T to upgrade. Then I’ll get a little more. Basically the map has a pump in every square that can have one and a like number of generators or close anyway, and the generators all have to have a heat sink outlet, and the pumps need to be connected with pipe more or less. It isn’t pretty, I suppose, but it’s surprisingly efficient… and upgrading the thermonuclear where I am at is so much cheaper than upgrading the nuclear fueal, even much cheaper than isolation. I’m surprised how well it performs. My income is more or less directly related to the next cheapest thing I can buy (next is water production for instance). I can even use some boilers. If you keep the boilers upgraded they can help a lil bit. They’re tricky to use to some extent. Let me know if the links don’t work I’m new at this photo sharing website.

I guess it does have a sort of flexible charm to it, lol, as I can quickly slot in new heat generators as capacity allows. Also, I see people trying similar things… though perhaps when they should have stayed with nuclear. Probably stay with nuclear until its upgrade cost is prohibitive. And it’s probably a good idea to upgrade thermonuclear lifespan because you lose 2/3 of production in maintenance and that will be way higher than what you’ve got in nuclear at that point if you don’t.

it’s possible, but right now I’m down to 1:1 Gen2:Nuke dry and 715M/tick lol. Going to experiment with various setups when I get home today. Thanks for the levels though, I’m a bit higher that those currently and will spend many billions blowing crap up :D
