I thought about HE, but it’s additional expenses – to raise(and keep) their max heat high enough. And same for pumps on coast.

4:4:1 takes 11 squares minimum so… consolidating that many spaces and then getting creative seems challenging. HE aren’t all that expensive to upgrade at the point I’m at… 1/5th of the next higher thing i need (generator efficiency which is low priority as it is). I’d like to see it though…

Well, yeah – HE isn’t very costly, thought difference between 20 and 21 cells it’s only 5% of income. While wasting of 1/5th it’s a 20% more time of waiting before you’ll get next upgrade. Very roughly, but you got the picture. So it’s probably not worth it.
And i’m not even talking about regular pump, which could cost even more than next level of generator :)

At least pipe capacity isn’t so expensive I need to use two pipe. I do need to upgrade it though… to run 1 square into to gens, lol. And I remember running water across region in pipes from the coast, how quaint. EDIT: was just thinking what it might look like if the graphics where more explicit about what your now huge gwps are doing, lol.
Anyway, money production is up 80% in about a day. If I had done more maths beforehand I would have made more, lol, or better batteries overnight.

what’s your upgrades? I can get more reactors, but not nearly that much $/tick.

I Just switched to an 1:2 Thermonuclear build, so i dont realy now what the levels were
right now i have

can you put a picture for your build with more cells?

Could you please post a screenshot of your 1:2 Thermo build? Thanks.

That’s 2:1. It’s generators:heat cells.

Playing around with a 3:1 wet build on region and managed to come up with this.

Haven’t seen any village builds here, this is what I used for a while
Super early thermo in region, made 762 million/tick with lvl 5 thermo , this was a lot cheaper to build in terms of upgrades than 2:1 thermo and made a little bit more money than 2:1 nuclear cells.
Early 3:1 thermo with close to 1 pump per gen, less efficient in terms of upgrades than the setup above, 3:1 only becomes more efficient if you can afford 1 pump per 3 gens or so, but by that time 2:1 is more efficient.
1:1 nuclear, probably less efficient than 2 gens per cell. , if your pumps are ugpraded a lot you can fit in more cells, i.e. replace the two pumps in the top right with 1gen+1cell.

Thanks to bingelig for his setup I used it and it works verry well for me. I don’t get as much power as you but I still managed to earn a good 307.56m pet tick. Im off to a good start

lower upgrade levels than many of those shown above. But very robust to adding new power sources. Gives me ~0.5bn.
upgrade lvls:
generator: max heat:17, effectiveness: 55, max water:16
water: pump prod:6, max water elem:4
powers sources: thermonc: 3, nuc:5

> Ah okay. So should I strive for a 1:1 for Nukes at this point then? I’ve unlocked Thermo but haven’t upgraded any of it or water stuff. As it stands, I’d need 17 Gen2 to cool 1 Thermo, and would need 5 Thermos to catch up to where I am on Nukes lol.Dasbreen please can you help with water because i just got it and cannot use it

This was a very useful post which got me to try water. Situation I was in was:
* Region
* Gen level 60
* no water upgrades
* 20 tril to spend
I had a 3:1 setup with L11 nukes ~ 13.97m heat each, 28 of them plus a few well placed isolation enhancers
410mil tick.
Choice is either
A) spend 15tril and upgrade gen 60 -> 61, it enables a 2:1 build, ideal fit, I can get about 44 of them @ 14mil tick = a little over 600mil tick
B) spend 20tril on water and give it a go. End result is 800-850mil tick, with flexibility to upgrade as new water upgrades roll in.
The original post inspired me to try water, dumping creds on gen water up to L17 I gave it a run and gen jumped from converting a bit over 5mil dry, to a bit over 26mil with full tank. That's pretty nice and enables a 2:1 TN-cell (base output 50m) setup.
Lacked the water pump upgrades, had a few explosions to figure out how to tone it down.
What I wanted to share is, the setup is nice because it's flexible.
If you lack the funds, just replace TN-cell slots with N-cell slots until you're under the pump capacity.
As you can upgrade, start replacing N for TN.
Obligatory pictures:

Don't mind the lonely gen on the tiny island :) Used it to check dry numbers, there is no way my office at its current level can keep up with the sale so it requires clicking or bonus to get over this "hump".
The black arrow was the problem area, couldn't get enough water down there, thought it was the pumps, upgraded a level, didn't help much then tried upgrading "water pipes" from 5->7:

only a few tril combined and problem solved, upgrade complete.
Ticking 1.12bil now

Seems a faster route to progress (for a while at least) than going the straight saving up for gen and cell upgrade.

I am new to this idle game and still figuring out the mechanics, and everything I understand tells me that the latice structure linked is the best method. Why is this the only version I've seen, and why do people tend to do more linear blobs, what am I missing?
I have been using hit now for a few upgrades and it took me from ~0.1b, when my setup was linear, to ~0.6b now. The cheapest upgrade throughout stayed on par with upgrading the rest of the network except generator max heat and max water. It tends to fail(or atleat my interpretation of failures) when there is too much local heat. I know the structure can handle more heat, but it doesn't spread fast enough before maxing out. I wish I understood how eat and water dissipates better.

Water doesn't flow through generators. The water pipes not attached to pumps (directly or through other pipes) do nothing.

island has been research for very long because itss small as fuck a nd balduraniu m cells (the last one) take a fuck ton of time to reserch but once i had all researched i foudn out island was best suited for waterpump insetad of groudnd waterpump ive come wiht a build that i coudl sue wiht both curium an dbalduranium cells the top isladn is just for fun and will chnage later or be removed or whatever the main island has the curium cell and 2 thorium cells that increase pump eeficiency a little bit more upgrades for them can be increases and deceased when needed and the batt on the mian island can be chnaged for an iso plate but that is just trying whats suits the best the 2 lower islands have each an protactium cell which aolso make a good bit thye btoh togetehr make about ~45-50% of what my curium makes so thats good upgrades are:
