Hello Spellstoners!
Much like the F2P Mythic Guide, the purpose of this thread will be to give players some ideas about decks that work against the bosses, and the general strategies that should be used to beat them in order to obtain Mortagan. Of course, feel free to post extra information that may be of use to players still fighting these Crimsonwing Champion Nodes down below.
# Tanit
After 4-5 days worth of energy in attempts, I finally managed to reach 7 stars on the Tanit Node!
Below is the video in which I obtain my Mortagan Crafting Scroll by defeating 6.4 of Tanit's Node:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7WQSQnwCXCo
My general deck building strategy was to use cards with **Invis, Hex,** and **Bolt/FB**. I also included some cards without invis that would offer great support if bolt did not happen to land on them.

Hex bolt has been proven very to be effective against these types of boss nodes. However, the opposing Hero in this node has a high amount of **single target Bolt** that activates after a certain amount of turns. (depending on which star level you're at) Therefore, an effective card to play early would be **Blackfin**. In the video, I play 2 Blackfins back to back as a setup. **Atlas** played after **Blackfin** would also help to give your team more damage and help keep them alive for longer.
If you're at the stage where you've obtained all three titans and are preparing to face off against Tanit, you probably won't need my explaination about how Hex Bolt strategies work, but well... I'll be going through it anyway :)
After having played invis hexers like **Blackfin**, cards must be placed that can utilize the high amount of Hex in order to clear enemy cards. In the video, I play **Narix**. Although Narix does not have Invis and risks being bolted down by the enemy Hero, he packs a great punch if the bolt does not land on him. I also try to play **Typhoeus** afterwards for more bolt against opposing cards, but he gets bolted down immediately. The safer play for me there might have been to play **Septuamaid**, who would have survived with his Invis. An alternative to playing Narix could have been **Messina** with it's double **Bolt** after activation, or other invis bolt/fb cards such as **Septuamaid** or **Foxfire**.
Now that you have your main offense placed, play support cards like **Regemage** or **Eos** to secure the victory.
Keep in mind that many cards that will **lower your chances of winning extremely** if played early. Ideally, you want the opponent to play weak cards such as the **1d dualstrike ward healer,** or the** 2d frostbreath weaken all bird**.
This Node will likely take many retries with all of the tough cards in the opponent's possesion. However, with enough patience, a decent deck, and some good luck, you will probably pull through in the end.
# Batara
After about 3 days worth of attempts, I took down Batara as well.
Below is the video in which I obtain my Mortagan Spellstone and craft Mortagan by defeating 6.4 of Batara's Node:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_5BTd5O_Br8
This is the deck I used to defeat the Batara node. It has ~27% chance of beating the final mission on auto, according to the sims.

In this node, 12/15 of the opponents cards will have backlash on the final 4 missions. The key to beating Batara is to use cards with **Empower**, **Valor**, **Low Delay Dualstrike** (in order to capitalize on the empower), **Legion**, or a high attack stat in general. You want to avoid using cards that could trigger **Backlash**, as the opposing hero enhances Backlash by 44 and imbues all with Ward 25.
The strategy that works best for this node is to start off with your tanks and to play faster cards after you have a good base.
To start off, try to play **3** of the following: **Proteus**, **Solaron**, **Atlas**, or **Sundermarr** in that order. It works best if you have at least 3 of those at the start of your chain. These cards are likely to tank and provide lasting support to your upcoming cards.
Next, play **2 or 3** of the following: **Ralgan**, **Armorca**, **Blackhawk**, or **Archgeneral** in that order, to bump up your DPS.
Finally, play 1 delay cards such as **Formos**, **Sandroach**, and **Rhynio**, once again in that order. If all goes well, your cards should all have 30+ attack and you should be able to secure the win.
The following deck with "ordered" and "don't shuffle" ticked on the sim gives you ~86% winrate on the final mission:

This Node is a lot easier than both the Formos and Tanit node, so I would highly recommend completing this one first.
# Formos
**IMPORTANT NOTICE:** Formos' Invigorate is currently **not functioning correctly** in the sim. This means that sim results will be **higher than they should be**. Currently, it is not possible for to obtain accurate winrate percentages for this Node with the sim.
**ANOTHER IMPORTANT NOTICE:** This node is very difficult. It took me more than double the amount of energy I used for Tanit in order to complete it. (over a weeks worth of energy!) If you wish to defeat Formos Ebonclaw, you must come prepared.
Below is the video in which I obtain my Mortagan Core by defeating 6.4 of Formos' Node:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xG8NGvkxyE0
This is the deck I used to defeat the Formos node. It has ~?% chance of beating the final mission on auto.

For this node, Samael seems to work better, so I will be switching to him.
Formos uses many **1d** and **0d** cards that end up with over 30 health due to the hero's **Invigorate All 16**.
My strategy was to try to play a few (maybe around **3**) of the following: **Blackfin and Sleetbones** (if undead/seafolk bge), **Proteus**, **Solaron**, **Atlas**, **Patchwork** or **Sundermarr**. Hex can be used here, as Formos does not have extremely high values of backlash like Batara did. Some players have been successful with **Verus** as the first card to gain an early lead, but I do not have this card, so I'm unsure of how effective this strategy is.
Then, try for **2 or 3** of the following: **Messina**, **Ralgan**, **Narix**, **Armorca**, **Kensho**. It works nicely if you can chain your cards to activate at the same time, especially for dualstrike cards in order to optimize damage.
At the end of your chain, **Verus**, **Formos**, **Sandroach** (insect bge), **Cordelia** and **Rhynio** work well.

Can you please provide an estimate of how much energy you used up in the process of successfully completing the level? Thanks in advance.

Basically all the energy since the node was released, plus a tiny amount from what I had as potions. Maybe ~900?

Thanks. I was definitely expecting something more in the thousands to get the right luck to line up like that. Congrats.

# Tanit Node
Quick update... I just completed the node also on the deck I posted above (see below). Final battle took just 2 tries.
--
Good job completing! I've been playing around with some F2P options too and had the below proposed deck very similar to yours but I swapped out Scylla for Vali and one of the Septuamaids for Kensho to give a bit of freeze support and it bumps the win rate in the sumulator by about 0.3% - negligible lol I also have the benefit of having my 5th blackfin fully quadded with hex all rune.
I think - generally - with this sort of deck your strategy is spot on. The sweet spot seems to be dropping 2 blackfins followed by Atlas, Messina and preferably Narix, Typheous and then just stacking as much bolt as possible after this. After playing around with the sim it seems like these first 6 cards are the key, any change to card order after this doesn't really affect the fight as you are normally easily winning or hard losing at this point.
It might feel like you need a lot of luck for this ordering but it actually isn't that uncommon, particularly if you get more blackfins in your deck than you need, as my gut feeling is this is not a challenge where you need to get all your 15 card slots used in the fight. The first 6/7/8 drops dictate how likely you are to win.
For the AI you have to have a bit of good fortune and avoid the berserk / scorch cards dropping over your blackfins. Best outcome is to get the weaker support cards that get corroded to 0 attack to give you a chance of avoiding the imbue silence.
This kind of hex bolt setup seems the best way for F2P to approach this at the moment unless someone has a radical alt strategy to share!

# Batara Node
Great job with the setups! I beat the Batara node a couple of days ago with a setup similar to 1up's. Key to focus on valor - which can stack to high numbers very quickly - with empower support but I included a few changes to bring in some more barrier / heal options.
As with the majority of these boss nodes you need a bit of luck to avoid the crazy high bolt / high hex card, high vengeance card and the high daze card being dropped early by the AI but the node certainly feels easier than the first!
Good luck to everyone else ;)

**Tanit Node**
Tips: If you draw a hand without any invisibility cards, just pack it up and auto through the inevitable loss. Spam at least 2-3 invis cards, at least one needs hex all, and then spam your bolt all cards. If either of your Hex All or Bolt All cards is Silenced, you're probably going to lose. If the AI activates the barrier all card, you lose. If the AI starts with Promised Victory, you lose. If the AI plays that Vanquished card with Silence 2 within the first three cards, you're likely going to lose. :D
Another thing to note, the only card in this deck that had a BGE bonus was Jewel Harvester (Elemental & Insect). This node will be a lot easier for F2P to finish during the next Seafolk BGE, if you want to wait that long. I feel that Revered Septuamaid will be a very good choice then too.

Edit: I would suggest possibly replacing Lok'thor with another Nether Blackfin as it'll give you a greater chance to stick your first two cards against the Bolt 99 Every 2 Hero Ability in the first few turns, which is necessary. If during the Seafolk BGE with additional Barrier, I would replace Lok'thor with another Nether Blackfin (w/ Leg Hex All Rune), replace Jewel Harvester with Revered Septuamaid (w/ Leg Bolt Rune), and replace Noctrus Flintclaw with Revered Septuamaid (w/ Leg Bolt Rune).
**Batara Node**

For the Batara Node I used the above deck.
The speed of the cards make them efficient enough to pace or outrace the opponent's cards. Avoid playing anything with Hex, Bolt, Frostbreath, and even Freeze. As far as the build I'm using, I could see substituting an additonal Archgeneral in place of Ralgan depending on what Runes you have on them and the level of your Ralgan. Originally was running Vindication Angels but switched them to Armocora and Thundersong after Star 4 when I noticed Valor is what you really need to get out in order to race. Valor and Empower combine to do most of the heavy lifting with some assistance from Legion boosts. It will sometimes get down to the wire, but you can squeak out some close wins fairly often. A well timed Armocora set-up after an Empower All or Empower All AEther is key to taking down specific problem enemy cards before they activate.
Five of the cards I used don't even have runes on them, two had sub-optimal runes, only used two Mythics, none of my cards benefitted from global BGE, and I still managed to complete this node. :D
If you're going to attempt this node during a BGE, Angel would likely be the easiest one to beat it during.

I think he is pretty good, especially in this node. I also made it on another acc with almost f2p (1 tsuna and one spelltalon) with pretty much the same deck as the 1st

I don´t think you are a F2P, you are showing f2p cards but too much upgraded and a quaded eos, which is basically impossible for a f2p player.

Eos is a map reward. None of those champions are at unreasonable levels for f2p.

Quick update... I just completed the node also on the deck I posted above (see below). Final battle took just 2 tries.
To the point someone made in response to a separate deck build that was posted:
1. Eos is a map reward so available to F2P.
2. You could argue that Foxfire is a little higher level than a pure F2P may easily achieve but to be honest this is not a crunch card and was not even played in my final batte (and neither was EOS for that matter).
3. If you are not in a position to fully upgrade these decks people are proposing you are likely not at a stage to be attempting this node in the first place ;)
You just need to get lucky with the drops but it should be able to be completed by F2P without ***too much*** difficulty.
Good luck to everyone else!

If you're really struggling with tanit it might be best to wait for seafolk bge if it is barrier again. My ordered winrate in the sim jumped from 8% to 43% by swapping ele bge to seafolk.

> So far against Batara I've been working with a mostly Aether deck made up of Atlas, Solaron, Verus, Habrok, Ralgan, Razia, 3x Blackhawk Knight, 3 Grand Archgeneral, 3 Vindication Angel with the hero being Yuriel. It seems like the combination of Empower and Legion helps get you get over the opponent's creatures. The speed of the cards make them efficient enough to pace or outrace the opponent's cards. I was originally trying an Elemental/Wyld Empower deck, but the Backlash effect is similar to the Bolt effect in the Tanit node and will just mow down your cards one by one. I would avoid playing anything with Hex, Bolt, Frostbreath, and even Freeze (with Verus being the only exception since it gets Invisibility). As far as the build I'm using, I could see substituting in additonal Archgenerals in place of eitehr Ralgan or Blackhawks, depending on what Runes you have on them and the level of your Ralgan - basically choose the best combination of them at your disposal. I'd even recommend possibly taking out the Vindication Angels if they didn't just sometimes cleanup or end a match when you slip them in at the end of a lineup due to Dual Strike. Other possible cards to consider might be Proteus, Zhulong, Ignus, and the most likely to swap in being Rhynio Sun Warrior. For Mythics, I only recommend using the three in my build; Narix, Scylla and Vulcanos just get smoked by Backlash. That's all the input I've got at the moment.

Invis doesn't protect against backlash. Verus can still be useful if played after a card with nullify though. As long as the freeze target doesn't get backlash from the hero verus should survive.

I wasn't playing Verus' Invisibility for the Backlash, but to deflect the gigantic one-shot bolt from that Eye card which kills your cards one by one. But on the whole Verus really doesn't do much on later levels of the Batara node, whereas other cards are better choices anyway, which is why I eventually took it out.
Also deleted that above post since I realized I should just update my previous post with each node and also since I changed my deck to an much improved version posted above.

Newest insect champ also strongly recommended for Batara node, also cards with berserk and daze can help some and remember at end that veng damage on the d4 cards also gets real bad while a few d2 cards will murder you whatever you play when activate as usual with nodes like this. Grats on beating it with that f2p setup 1upPup.
