Hi I’m whitehackle and I have been asked to do a walkthrough on how to farm MP in SOTC. I have tried many techniques and have come up with a 100% way to auto farm MP and would like to share it with you.
First of all I’m going to assume you know your way around a bit in the game and if not please read the guides to further understand the game before you try anything. You may do this at a lower level but this works best when done with a slave that has already reached level 70 and is ready for end game PVP since you will have to do the following steps.
Step 1: Reset your skills and invest points into the following areas and nowhere else this is very important or your slave will attack on auto and we do not want that during this process. Boost Morale, Intimidation, Charisma Plus, Crowd Appeal Boost, Morale All, Intimidate All. This works best when each of these is maxed out with your points and if you have any left over that is fine do not invest in anything else. Now on the stat side invest every point into speed this will help make the process work faster.
Step 2: Put this slave on your team in the front row and only have him on your team.
Step 3: Start looking in either of the first two cities coliseum for a team to fight that has a slave in the rear row that does not have a spear. Once you have found one enter the fight.
Step 4: Now you will have only weak, medium, strong attacks to kill the other team. Kill every slave except the one in the rear row that doesn’t have a spear. Once you have done this and are not bleeding out then you are ready to go forward.
Step 5: This is where the magick happens. Click to change row and then click auto. If you have followed all steps correctly then your slave should spam crowd appeal and intimidation without either slave attacking the other forever.
Step 6: Once you have chosen to end the fight enter inventory and remove all gear on your slave this will allow you to see his MP. If it is not at 730 or the desired level re equip all gear save game and re enter the same fight with the same process until you reach desired level.
Step 7: Once you have reached your desired MP level reset your slave and invest your points as desired you have now completed the process of farming MP.

Great advice, thanks whitehackle :) 1 addition I've found that seems to work is; if your Gladiator is lvl 70, you'll have 15 skill points left, and if you put 5 into 2x combo then the final 10 into speed boost, the farming technique still works and your Gladiator gets faster (which is useful for this, as stated at the end of Step 1). Not sure if a bit more speed makes much of a difference at how fast you gain MP lvls (or any at all, but I seem to be getting more turns. Before I spent those last 15 points I was getting 3 turns for each enemy turn, now I'm getting 4 vs 1 turn, surely a good thing), also the Glad' I'm farming MP for has a shield and spear, and I don't know; if I had 2 weapons equipped, would the 2x combo skill would interfere with "magic" or not? Although, I suspect not, as I don't think you can perform that attack from the back row.

AI will eventually attack by changing rows if you have the right gear equiped. Sometimes even on the first move it will change rows which will hinder your progress. As long as you stay with your current equips I can see the logic in it working though.

For the last 20 MP (from 710 - 730) it is quicker to train a MP 730 glad from lvl 1 - lvl 70. Cheers!
