I've been mostly asking questions about algebraic geometry, since I've been studying a lot of algebraic geometry. Recently I've been going through other fields of mathematics, such as functional analysis and analytic number theory. There are also other fields of math that are on my todo list, but I don't know much about them. Some of those are class field theory, graph theory, differential geometry, complex geometry, and representation theory.
Which of these fields do you want to see more from me about?

Most of my experience was focused on geometric analysis (mostly calculus based) and some statistical work, but that all circled back into physics and chemistry. YOLO to natural sciences, I guess.

Let L(s, χ) be a Dirichlet Lfunction corresponding to a principal Dirichlet character. Prove that it has a pole at s=1 and find its degree and residue.
