My card has stasis, but my Progenitor is not being protected. Is this a bug or by design?

It does not that would be op unless there is a bge that allowed it.

Progenitors are considered as a separate faction for skill purposes.
In the case of Stasis, they will only receive Stasis protection if the Stasis was granted by another Progenitor.

Specifically, the special quality of Progenitors only applies to skills that have a faction modifier added to them, like Heal Imperial, Rally Raider, etc. It does not apply to skills like Legion, Allegiance, and Stasis that always affect only cards of their own faction, and don't specify which faction they are targeting. It is by design, but its a very old design that I would probably not repeat if I had any chance to alter it.

yeah it makes those skills kinda weak for decks that use progenitors in general.
