I used to play it years ago but apparently you need Firefox to run it, or any browser besides Chrome which is insane, I don't know why NinjaKiwi wouldn't just update the game to the new flash player. It's literally killing the game from what I see. This used to be my go to with The Last Stand Danger Zone, looks like Ill just be playing that from now on.

They invested too much on the steam version and ended up losing more players than gaining. This is what greed does, they completely ruined a perfectly fine game.

the steam version is abandoned as well. They decided only focus on TD Bloons. Really bad decision, i think.

It's been a long time since you said this, but from what I've heard, they did end up investing a pretty bit of their time into the Steam port (which was just the mobile version with some compatibility code) and hoped to totally flip their work into a little profit, which they didn't get. They stopped maintenance for the game because of that flop and the inability to properly provide a stable work environment with pay for the developers of the game due to it's lack of adherence since the time it has been released in 2014. Then again, they did have BTD and other stuff they decided to put more effort into because it brought them more profit. It's sad, it sucks, but it's what most people would do (or at the very least, be forced to do when the time comes). I thought I was gonna be able to come back to the game after not having played it since the 10'th of October, 2018. Unfortunately, I was wrong; It is what it is. If it makes it even decently better, you can realise that Valve did the exact same things w/ their previous games, Portal, Half Life, etc. However, the scale of SAS (being a Flash game and all...) really doesn't help it's profitability. If Ninja Kiwi sought out a way to make a proper port and maybe add some innocent microtransactions while also improving on SAS 4 (as in, to make an SAS 5), there's a small chance it might catch on again. In the same way that XCOM was seen as a different perspective on a game of it's likeness is, if SAS 5 would just be introduced as something really well made, and was seen as even just something unique, they might get away with just recycling most of the old features and maybe just refining the game elements. My Friend Pedro is a beloved cult classic that has seen it's way as a relatively major introduction into Steam, and if NK did a little more to make SAS 4 a more compatible game with the device it's being played on, it might have been a pretty serious thing for a maybe big group of people.
Huhhh..
Then again, maybe I don't know how well NK is doing for themselves or if they would be up for such a daunting task. I haven't seen what it takes to port a game to another device and remodel it, so I guess I'm just kinda' spitballing it here, but I'm only replying because it genuinely hurts to see it only after it has died.
Much luck in your future endeavors of zombie-killing mayhem.
