_ **Characters** _
There are three characters/classes in SAS: Zombie Assault 4.
**Assault class** – This class has the second highest starting hit points of 2,000. It mainly focuses on damage and speed. If you prefer to be a damage dealing and a speedy class with mediocre survivability, then this might be the class for you.
_Assault Skills_
1.) Adrenaline – this skill increases the movement speed, shoot speed and reload time for a short period of time. If the skill is maxed, it might be possible to have an instant reload.
2.) Deadly Force – this skill increases the damage from all weapons used. This skill also increases the critical damage, killing spree, and damage over time from DoT weapons.
3.) Close Quarters Combat – this skill allows you to strike nearby enemies with your knife.
4.) Gun Mod Expert – this skill reduces the cost of augmenting weapons, plus 10% augmentation experience.
5.) Stim shot – this skill automatically regenerates loss hit points when severely injured (health below 20%).
6.) Killing spree -when 20 zombies are killed, killing spree activates and increases both damage and pierce. In order for killing spree to stay active, you must keep killing zombies.
7.) Assault team – this skill allows you to summon Elite Assault Team in a short period of time.
**Medic class** – This class has the lowest starting hit points of 1,800. This class is able to drop medkits which heals a player’s hit points pool. Its main role is being a team support class, fighting behind the front lines and letting the heavy and assault class do the damage and take the hits while the medic class heals them from afar. If you want to be a team support class, which deals damage from afar and heals teammates then this might the class for you.
_Medic Skills_
1.) Medkit – this skill allows you to drop field medkits for any player to pick up during missions (including you). Although unlike normal medkits, field medkits disappear when an injured player steps on it or it disappears during a certain short period of time.
2.) Protective Aura – this skill increases your thermal and chemical resistance plus nearby allies may receive the buff.
3.) Revive – this skill boosts the recovery time and health of nearby fallen teammates when a medic is standing nearby them.
4.) Biocleanse Bomb – this skill slows down zombies and lowers their resistance by 50% in an area where biocleanse bomb is deployed. You can indicate if a medic has thrown a biocleanse bomb if you see a small green smoke grenade.
5.) Bad Blood – every time a melee attacker hits you they in return take damage.
6.) Final Farewell – when you die, you heal players around you and drop medkits. This skill allows you to be useful even when you’re knocked out from combat by dropping 3 medkits (gradually increases at higher skill level) around you and healing players who picks them up.
7.) Zombie Antidote – this skill allows you to drop a canister that releases a huge gaseous explosion of virus antidote that does damage to zombies over a radius and a certain amount of time.
**Heavy class** - This class has the highest starting hit points of 2,200. This class has the capability of dishing out decent amount of damage while being able to tank the hits. Although this comes with a price with mediocre speed, but if you have a decent gear or have the Heavy gear skill then this can be easily fixed. Overall, if you want to be a class than can tank the damage and dish out decent damage while having mediocre speed, then this might be the class for you.
_Heavy Skills_
1.) Hold The Line – this skill increases your damage and pierce while not moving ( half while moving).
2.) Heavy Gear – this skill reduces movement penalty of weapons and armours equipped. This can completely nullify all movement penalties, allowing the Heavy class to use any equipment without taking any movement penalties.
3.) Though Body – this skill makes your character so tough that it is more resilient to damage than normal. Tough body is also able to rude incoming damage of Dark Minion zombies.
4.) Die Another Day – this skill makes you 90% immune to incoming damage for a short period of time. This skill allows you to survive when you have a low amount of hit points, it also allows you to push hordes of zombies or if you’re cornered by a strong boss.
5.) Brute Strength – this skill allows you to push boxes with ease and deal damage to zombies by running into them.
6.) Concussion – this skills allows your shots to have a chance to stun zombies + bosses. Guns with high rate of fire and/or multiple flechettes are better for stunning.
7.) Aerial Bombardment – this skill allows you to call in a powerful orbital strike dealing massive amount of destruction in a targeted area.

_ **Masteries** _
Masteries are passive upgrades of your weapons, armours, support equipments, and premium ammo. Each masteries requires certain objectives for you to unlock the next mastery level.
* * *
_Information regarding the different masteries can be located at your character screen \> below the news/store tab \> hit masteries tab._

_ **Game modes** _
Single player mode – This mode allows you to start a mission without other players. This mode is also less laggy compared to pub matches which may help for some players who lags terribly in pub matches, but do note that single player mode has lower improved loot + small amount of exp.
Multi player mode [co-op quick match/public match & private match] – This mode allows you to team up with other players by inviting them to a private match or going to a public match. Unlike single player mode, this mode gives extra rewards that improves loots and adds bonus exp.
Nightmare mode – This mode gives 5x alloy bonus, increased brutal difficulty, higher chance of black keys, and higher chance of elite augment cores found in nantonium boxes dropped by elite savage dev/necro. You have 5 daily nightmare mode tickets which replenishes every 24 hours.
Contracts – recently added mode where you can earn extra cash, extra exp, premium ammo, and extra turrets. This mode is both available for single player or multi player gameplay.

_ **Power-ups** _
Tank – this power up gives you +20% damage immunity, +50% health gain from medkits, +50% health regen rate, 2x Ronson Cryo turret, and 10x cryo grenades. (Cost increases as you level up)
Killing Machine – this power up gives you +10% damage to everything, +10% crit chance, 2x HVM heavy machine gun turret and HIK heavy shot protector turret, and 10x frag grenades. (Cost increases as you level up)
High roller – increases strong box quality and strong box drop chance by 3%. During a full team (4 player team with hr) HR boost, it stacks at 12%.

_ **Boxes** _
There are nine tiers of strongboxes in SAS 4 that you can find. These are the order from lowest to highest tier:
1) Steel strongbox
2) Titanium strongbox
3) Molybdenum strongbox
4) Iridium strongbox
5) Neodymium strongbox
6) Promethium strongbox
7) Thulium strongbox
8) Nantonium strongbox
9) Black strongbox – (Although this strongbox is not indicated by any number of rating, it is one of the highest strongbox tier in SAS 4. You need to open this strongbox with a black key. You can only keep 5 at max, unless you bought a prem weapon that comes with a perk that increases the number of black boxes you can keep.)

_ **Events** _
Championship events – this is a rare event that is hosted every one or two months. It is a mega week-long event which allow players to get ultra-rare weapons, along with medals and other tournament rewards. Players have to earn medals in order to get the rewards. Medals are earned during championship from event rewards or from boss kills.
Alpha Virus – Find and hold on to the Alpha virus for as long as you can.
Zombie bounty – This is a passive event. Your mission is to kill a certain type of zombie in multiplayer to earn points.
Last Man Standing – Be the last person standing in your team to score points.
Virus samples – Collect as many vials of Virus Samples from dead zombies to earn points. The higher your score compared to other players, the higher points you receive.
Apocalypse – Work together with your teammates to survive as many waves as you can. The higher the amount of waves you completed, the higher the points you receive.
Contract bounty – Kill zombies on multiplayer contracts to earn points for this bounty.
_ **Crafting** _
This is a recently added feature in SAS: Zombie Assault 4. Crafting can be really expensive, but it can be used to get rare equipments. It uses alloy (the newly introduced in-game currency) to craft equipments. You need to be at least at the level of the weapon/armour’s average drop level to craft the item, though with the exception of level 100 items, for which you need to be at least level 90.
You can access the crafting area by going to your character’s equipment/skill section \> look at the top right corner of your screen \> hit collection \> and click the equipment you want to craft.
_ **Alloys** _
Alloys are materials that is used to craft equipments in-game. Alloys can be obtain from selling a strongbox, killing a boss, or from event rewards.

**Frequently Asked Questions**
* * *
Q) “How to fix black screen?”
A) Disable ad-ons or ad-blockers that might be affecting your game. Make sure to allow flashplayer to run the game.
Q) “How to level up fast?”
A) You can level up fast by doing zombie hotspot runs, fast normal pod runs, being boosted by a level 100 player, or purchasing a premium weapon that comes with a perk that gives +50% bonus exp per zombie killed.
Q) “What are elite cores?”
A) Elite cores are used to enhance and modify guns and armor in special ways. Obtain them as progress or event rewards or as ultra rare drops found in nantonium boxes that are dropped by Savage Necro elite bosses in nightmare mode.
Q) “My game is loading/building so slow. How do I fix this?”
A) Building speed has something to do with your computer while loading speed has something to do with your internet connection. Make sure that there are no issue with your internet connection speed and that you’re using a device which can run this game smoothly.
Q) “How to earn medals?”
A) Medals are ONLY earned during championship events by killing bosses or by event rewards.
Q) “What is the best class?”
A) There is no best class. All of them are decent. The main question is, what is your play style? Do you want to be a tanky with decent amount of damage output? Do you want to be a speedy character with insanely high amount of damage? Or do you want to be supportive class, which heals teammates and deal damage from afar? Ask yourself those questions and refer to Character section from this guide to find your answer.
Q) “How to do fullscreen on SAS 4?”
A) There is no current fullscreen. Though the closest you will get is Cinematic mode. It is in the top left outline of the game.
Edited: How to do fullscreen on SAS 4 – Here’s a [video](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RVyMC9YWFao) showing how to access fullscreen mode on SAS 4. ONLY works on Kongregate!
Q) “How to reduce lag in SAS 4?”
A) There is a guide created by the devs on how to reduce in-game lag [here](http://www.kongregate.com/forums/2609-sas-zombie-assault-4/topics/425787-guide-dev-solutions-to-reducing-lag-in-sas4). Do read some of the additional informations posted by other users for they might offer some great insights on how to reduce in-game lag.
Q) “How to earn a lot of cash in SAS 4?”
A) You can earn a lot of cash by doing nightmare mode. Usually you get around 1-2 million SAS creds per nightmare mission. Event rewards also give a decent amount of cash (50k-500k). Also, a great tip on how to earn tons of cash is maxing Pay Grade skill and running nightmare mode missions, when you do that you get insane amount of cash on every end of the mission.
Q) “What are respec tokens and how do you them?”
A) Respec tokens are used to reset a character’s skill; you get 1 respec token on your first character. You can obtain them directly by buying them for 10 kreds for 1 respec token. Just simply click on ‘reset skill’ and it should automatically take you to a window where you can purchase it for 10 kreds if you don’t have any respec tokens available. Or, if you do not have any money — just patiently wait for a championship event to be hosted, the higher rewards on that event often gives away respec token as one of the rewards and ocassionaly from other events as well.
Q) “How to get black boxes?”
A) Well to be honest they drop randomly on every map/game mode(yes, you can get them on single player mode as well), but they have a higher drop chance on nightmare mode than normal. You can also obtain them through events or through progress rewards. Or, if you don’t have time to farm for it, you could just purchase it from the store.

Choose if grades are empty (blue and Add Augmentation) and click them. There are 11 to increase your weapon,
Deadly [Increases weapon’s base damage]
Enlarged [Increases blast radius of weapons ( big explosif )]

Skeletonized [Lightens weapon, decreasing movement penalties from it]
Piercing [Allows weapons to affect or pass through more targets]
Pinpoint [Increases crit chance]
Capacity [Increases weapon’s clip size]
Biosynthesis [Restores some health after each zombie kill]
Adaptive [Makes the weapon ignore a portion of the target’s resistances]
Overclocked [Increases rate of fire]
Race modded [Decreases weapon reload time]
Note: The most important for increase your weapon is Overclocked, deadly, Adaptive, Capacity, Tenacious and Pinpoint, but you don’t need to make than i write that.

Ria 20 para doesn’t have any elemental damage, and although the Luftplatzen does, it is not worthwhile to add tenacious because the damage over time is ridiculously low.

If you use Stripper and you put Tenacious, you will see the different, The damages will become more high, i know RIA 20 Para doesn’t have any elemental, it’s for beginners, right? So i write it for explain.

Very cool, this guide is pretty useful. But I have a question regarding the damage calculation mechanics. Does damage reduction skills such as Tough Body kick in before or after the armor increase skills, like BAE? Because I have invested a bunch of points on BAE assuming this would make me as beefy as one can be and nearly none in TB, but I don't feel very tanky. Is the armor applied to the damage before the reduction percentage or after?
Thanks in advance!
