hey guys. so i'm making my first attempt at ITRTG V2. i realized that while trying to create faveverses i keep getting stopped with the message that i need more "creating". after mousing over the fakeverse bar i realized that it tells me how much creating i need. so my question is this, where can i find my total "creating"? and how do i improve it?

That's one of your four main stats: physical, mystic, battle, and creating. Listed on the left under your health bar, along with divinity and attack. You gain more creating as you make creations (build -> create). Evil creations consume some portion of your creating stat when you make them while regular creations generate creating stat over time. It should generate creating stat faster if you can sit there pumping out something farther down the list of regular creations.

Creating is your creating stat in the corner, right under Battle. Making poison creations drains your Creating stat.
The only way to raise it is to make more normal creations.
Note: Things like monuments that boost creation do not help with poison creations. Poison creation cost scales with any multipliers.

ohhhh.... so it's actually taking away from my main creation stat?!? i was so thrilled when i just opened 2 lucky draws and they were both double your creating until rebirth. after reading this i just checked, sure enough even after doubling twice my creating stat is hundreds of times lower than the others. that's going to directly effect my rebirth scores right? is it even worth fighting the UB V2s for that trade off?

i never knew constantly creating stuff raised my creating stat directly, duh. now i'm thinking about all the wasted time, over who knows how many rebirths, having my creations tab set to make 25 universes (which i have the divinity income to make happen about twice a week currently), when all this time i could have been pumping out lower creations constantly...

It should still be making smaller creations and counting something for them while working on a larger creation. The game engine temporarily switches the currently selected creation over to a missing prerequsite for a moment and switches back to check if it can make the larger creation yet. Or something like that. It can work like this even with autobuy turned on. If it can't afford to autobuy what's missing it will spend time switching itself back and forth to make what it needs. But yeah, sitting on something that doesn't need to take much time generating prerequsites before it can be made would likely generate creating stat much more efficiently.
To be fair though, outside of consuming it for evil creations for the UBv2s the creating stat only proves to be really vital for players leaning super hard into speedrunning. For regular non-speedrun gameplay you run to Might unlock or longer and you get your 28 physical trainings, 28 skill trainings, and 34 monster kills all running at the same time with every individual one of those 90 lines non-stop generating its stat over time all while only one creation at a time can ever be in production and generating its stat. You've also got the multipliers from pet stats boosting your physical, mystic, and battle but those don't boost creating and that widens the gap between creating and the other stats. And the first 5 Might abilities boost the benefits for health, attack, and regen from the 3 stronger main stats while creating does not have anything boosting how much health and attack it's worth. Speedrunners ignore Might and don't worry too much about their pets and only run the weakest trainings and monster kills before they're rebirthing again, but they are still pumping out the biggest creations they can (including doing enough for at least some of the UBv2s for the really hardcore speedrunners) so all of that emphasizes the creating stat a lot heavier than normal.

I would create more weather, sky, then nights when I ran out of creation for evil creations.

sorry to drag up this old topic again but... i was kinda hoping to take down ITRTG V2 in this rebirth but it's not looking likely now. i need 12 fakeverses to fight him twice which is about all i need to defeat him i think. problem is i ran out of divinity after 5 and a half or so. I've been grinding away building 30 nights back to back to increase my creating but making those damn fakeverses sucks up 8 hours of idle grinding in like 20 seconds. what am i missing here? how do i come up with enough creating to get the 12 fakeverses i need? or am i just not powerful enough yet?

Both building monuments that increase your creating and planet multiplier will increase your creating stat but will also increase increase the amount of creating your evil creations will cost. That means longer offline periods or running powersurge while creating will lead to the situation you are describing.

The cost depends on how much creating you make from creating creations. One fakeverse costs as much creating as 5 universes give if you would create them one at a time.

so if i'm understanding this correctly, i want to defeat UBs V2 early in each rebirth to keep creating costs down when creating evil versions of stuff? and Ryu, does that mean if i had just created 30 universes one at a time i would have had enough creating to make the last 6 evilverses i needed? and that also means all this time i've been building like 10 universes at a time i've only been earning the creating for one?

It's more like it's some sort of proportions based thing...
I don't really know any of the details behind it myself, but my rough understanding would be that it works something like... if at some point in the run a universe could generate X creating and a fakeverse could consume Y creating, and you wait until later in the run where higher multipliers mean that you're dealing with a creating stat k times larger compared to earlier, then you will now find that a universe can generate kX creating while a fakeverse can consume kY creating. In the end there would be no significant difference whether you had made the evil creations earlier in the run or later in the run.
And batches of a creation are worth more creating stat than a single copy of that creation. It doesn't seem to scale linearly with the creation count you ask for, though. For example, I'm looking right now at 1 universe showing in the tooltip about 3.3e72 creating/s, 10 universes showing about 5.5e72 creating/s, or 100 universe showing about 2.5e73 creating/s. Still, the thing about creation count is that it translates into cheaper material costs (and cheaper divinity costs at the point where you're letting materials get autobought) for that big batch compared to how much the total cost would've been to make the same number in smaller batches or to make them all separately from each other. I'd guess that the cost for evil creations only scales based on the values for the individual creation, ignoring creation count. Seems like that would count for something here.
However the behind the scenes details all play out there, I don't think that I personally have ever been in that situation of not having enough creating stat to cover the evil creations I needed. Or if it ever has happened it might have been one time a while back when my creation count was a lot lower and when I was getting a lot less output from my divgen so that covering the cost of a big batch of creations was a lot harder.

The creation stat you get is multiplied by monuments and other things. That means the creation you got before is also multiplied by the same and so it doesn't matter when in the run you create something. In the end what you get is the same it is just multiplied with stats you get after that.
Example: You get 100 creation for creating something. Later you build 100 monuments and it multiplies your creation by 100, then you have 10000 creation and would get 10000 for creating the same thing. So if you create it now it would result in the same 10000 then you got before.
To the question about building 10 universes at once, that is not enough for one fakeverse. If you read the tooltip on the creation stats it shows that the first creation you create gives 100% creation stat and additional ones 5%. This means if you create 10 universes at once it would give 145% of the creation you would get if you create one. To have enough for one evil creation you would need to create 4 x 10 universes.
Of course you can create other creations instead. With a cc of 375 if you create 375 moons at once you would also get the creation stat you need for 1 evil verse and that is cheaper to create than 5 x 1 universe.

thanks Ryu. although that does clear it up for me a bit, it also serves to remind me how incredibly complex this game is. i've said it before but i'll say it again, well done sir.
