1.383.871.674.656 xp on Y1 (version 1.0.6) pre-endurance.
Wizard level 813 before, 6523 after.
Max difficulty.
Highest level gem 50, yellow, red, white.
Can single shoot mobs with 1e21 hp (50 gembombs of level 28 on final level, more before that), but did most waves with 25e20 (ie 1/4 of single shoot, so that I could still almost single shoot the appearing beacons).
Got frag 73, 76 and 87.
Most of the XP is from shooting beacons.

Did you use mana traps?
Also, for your main gem, did you use amps? I assume yes to both but I don’t like the manga traps strategy because it feels like cheating.

Amplifiers are currently way way way underpowered, they are pretty much only useful for giving your gems a speed and range boost. Even at level 12, they contribute less than 5% to dmg and specials, after level 25 they are only speed boosts.
My start strat for this map was to build 2 traps in the center lane, one at the start and one at the first bend.
The start position gem would be mana gain, poolbound and chain hit. Starting at lvl 3.
The other would be a critical, chain hit, poolbound @ lvl 7.
And then just gem bomb the waves to the max, and dont care at all about the beacons.
After first mana (ie. after 100 sec) you increase the killer gem by almost the full amount you got, and just leave enough for even more massive gem bombing. (You are at wave ~5 now).
After second mana (200 sec ~wave 10-12) you have enough to fill out the lane with “mana gain, poolbound and chain hit” and “slow, mana gain, poolbound and chain hit” alternating, starting and ending with the slow.
After 3rd mana, you have enough to get fairly high level mana farms, surrounded with pure managain amplifiers and your damage gem should already now be doing astronomical damage.
From thereon, it is just calculating the damage your damage gem can deal and gembomb the waves until you reach that point. The mana farm gems will be unable to do any damage at all very quickly.
I allocated skill points as follows:
25-30 in true colors
13 in masonry
45 in fusion
25-30 in manastream
24 or 27 in chain hit, managain and poolbound
10-12 in amplifiers
10-12 in fury
10-12 in traps
0-12 in rest
Leave enough for 7k starting mana
After you reach lvl 47 gems (which you should reach around wave 50-80), you put your damage gem in a tower with priority buildings and nuke the hell out of all the occuring beacons. You should be gembombing each wave ~50 times, so 9-10 beacons per wave. It will be near impossible to get past gem 50 after the poolbound nerf with those skill allocations.

Cine, I respectfully disagree. I tried your “multiple mana gem farm” and it gathered less mana than a single mana gem. For upgrading, place barrage on it so no reload. Simple. Also, it’s easier to permafreeze(which I can now do- yay!) monsters over one trap than an entire path. It also means you have to build less towers to keep discharging beacon away from the farm, which means more beacon spawns and more XP.

S hextile might be a bonus for compasses or something like that.

Compass!
Someone could make an image to understand how to use compasses?
I did not find any images of the gem in the field…

C2, E3, J2, K2, O3, U4, X7
These are the 7 fields with compass, you need access to all 7 before you get anything out of it.
When you enter any of these fields, the loading screen will show a vague image of 7 gems. Each of the shown gems on loading screen correspond to 1 field in the above order.
IE. the first gem is C2.
The goal is to get all 7 gems on the loading screen to show a gem level 5.
You change a gem by entering the field, and then clicking on the compass. You need to LEAVE to the MAP and reenter the field to get an update on the loading screen. Restarting map is NOT enough.
When the 7th gem becomes a lvl 5 gem, then the compass will drop something. YOU NEED TO COMPLETE THE FIELD THEN! or you wont get the drop.
The rewards for completion of a certain amount of cycles is as follows:
1 – Field D6
3 – Bugged Field Marker (perhaps supposed to be N7?)
5 – Field O4 (Already acquired through normal progression)
7 – Field P6
9 – Field Q7
11 – Field X6
2, 4, 6, 8, 10th times: Talisman fragments of ascending quality
3rd time is bugged, so you CANNOT complete the field, it will just stick around forever after last mob is dead.

I have beat all seven levels and have yet to see these “shadowy” gems in the loading screen. Can you get a screen capture of this because I can’t see anything like what you are talking about.

Your screen is probably too dark, turn up the brightness and you will see them

When every second wave sends your gem to resocketing state, it is a bit frustrating, believe me.

Anyone know where to get the hextile for G? I seem to be stuck. Everywhere I try to go it says I need the the curse spell from G2, yet I don’t have access to G at all…

Thank you so much!!!

yes, in field X5, but there is a small continuation of the story at Y6…:P plus Y6 gives you literally 55 free skillpoints in one skill so get it lol.

It still appears in haunting lol…but way less often than in regular mode before beating X5, the ui block came only twice in my 999 waves….

I found the shortcut: Page UP/DOWN !!!!!

So mana leech. I’m level 145 and I think the RYB combo is the best for damage amplified with pure blacks and OR for traps, amplifiers do ridiculously low buff to traps so I make tier7 blue gems with random hit around them but still can’t get past wave 150 or so, should i try looming endurance runs first to get levels or do they only give me 5-10 more waves?
Also tried to mess with the leech gems like fusing them with black or white (ORB/ORW), but they lose about 20% of mana leech, 30% for white. Maybe put skill points on freeze and try to permafreeze a wave on my traps?

How the heck do you beat V3 and V2?! I’ve tried many strategies on both those fields, and I’ve never completed either of them. V3 is the premium-only one with 228 waves and V2 is the one where you have to curse monsters to charge the pillars.

Amateur Mana farm:

and in case you are loow level, start with same thing i did, but lower grade gems, it is very easy to start farming mana
900+ Shadow cores in under 2 min

X5 is very easy to be the end of the game! Why so simple? This game is so good that it should end with very complicated field and require a pretty powerful talisman!

Hi guys, I am somewhere in the middle of the game, and I have 2 questions:
1, how to get more skillpoints? The only way I know is to do achievements. But it is pretty slow, and mainly, number of achievements is pretty limited…
2, how to get achievements “Hyper Gem” and “Wicked Gem” (= grade 3 gem with 600 and 900 dmg)? I tried to do small mana farm and then add grade 2 to grade 3 gem, so final gem stayed grade 3, but damage was increasing very slowly and my guess, I will need to add 1000+ grade 2 to do “Wicked Gem” what is of course a bit crazy…
Thanks much for answer

1. The easiest way is simply to gain more levels. You gain 7 Skill Points per level. And the best way to do that is to spend your Shadow Cores to repeat earlier stages at harder difficulties using Battle Traits. This will net you extra XP with a higher multiplier and an extra wave per trait level. But, don’t push too far, as you also get quite significant bonuses if you survive the entire level without having a single monster touch your Orb.
2. Fortunately, there is another way, as the achievement was altered to read total max damage, rather than raw max damage. Using Amplifiers with high-grade gems should make grabbing this achievement far easier.
EDIT: I did think of one more thing to add to the second point, which is this: Raising the True Colors skill will grant natural damage bonuses (+3% to Pures/lv, +10% to Duals, Triples or Quads/3 lvs). Also, make certain that you’re using a Dual Gem at least, as they naturally deal more damage than pure gems.

The question is, when do we get this game here at Kong? Couldn’t care less about some other games site.
