To help organize all of the feedback, questions, suggestions, and requests; we've made a couple of changes. We want to make sure that players still have a place to come and ask questions, though!
Please use this thread to ask a question or two and Obyto will get to these as time permits.
**This thread is for *questions related to Spellstone* that you'd like a *developer* response on.**
* Store Requests: [Sticky - Shop Items & Requests](http://www.kongregate.com/forums/16906-spellstone/topics/918307-feedback-thread-shop-items-requests)
* Game Suggestions & QoL Improvements: [Sticky - Suggestions & QoL](http://www.kongregate.com/forums/16906-spellstone/topics/917594-official-suggestion-thread-quality-of-life-list)

Great idea, and I have a question! Since in the the last two threads where you promised a dev would be replying soon, it turned out a dev did not reply soon, and in fact decided not to reply at all, why should we believe that this time a dev will reply to anything we say?
I mean, we don't really have to chat about stuff. It is your game. But if you ask us to chat, and then you dismiss it without reply, why should we bother at all?

Sorry about the delays! As the game, number of questions, and complexity of questions has grown; we weren't able to keep up in the same way. Have you seen how some of those suggestions are paragraphs and paragraphs? Suggestions like that can instead go into areas where the team will review them and update the status on occassion rather than commit to a time frame to answer requests/suggestions that aren't actually questions.
I'm sorry for the frustration, I can relate. I am working on improving everything that needs to be done so that it can be done more efficiently. Changing this format is just one step.
Of course, sharing your questions and feedback is optional. But, for those who decide to post, please know that everything is read; even if not every single thread and post is replied to. I've kept this thread open ended without a time commitment because I can't promise it'll be done perfectly. I can only promise that we'll try.

Ok, now without the sarcasm, some friendly advice. Warning, some deep bitterness may remain present.
You realise the feedback format you implemented is cumbersome, that is fair enough. You decide to implement a new feedback format, that is also fair enough. Here is what you don't do, imho.

I mean, this is not about esoteric high level knowledge about corporate public relations, this is basic common sense. You realise the existing format does not work. You change your mind. That is fine, totally understandable. What you do is you **keep your freaking promises** and just change the format in the future. You don't just stick it up to all contributors who spent time giving you feedback in the last thread, tell them that you don't give a toss about their contributions, and expect them to stay loyal and communicative in following threads. It is not rocket science. Do what you told you would do, then (and only then) implement what you think makes more sense regarding your time budget.

after I have Mythic Verus, are u planning to do something else with windsouls (like another mythic card or something) or i can vaporize windsouls safely?

Will you soon implement new options for newer players to progress in the game and also for f2p?
Progression that was badly damaged by the arena changes that made so many players quit. Having to wait for a month to quad event reward cards on the whole or even being unable to attain them for newer players wont give that sense of progression, more the opposite. Options could be to make levelling more rewarding, awarding event cards for next bge, some of the points Varaxis made in the QOL sticky post and many more options.
For a game to stay healthy in the long run there has to be a sense of progression for all players.

Perhaps they could create a Wing Ward rune that can only be acquired by a certain amount of windsouls (ex. 10k)?

Windsouls will remain exclusive to creating the Mythic Verus. If we add a Mythic in the future it would use a different soul type, so feel free to vaporize excess Windsouls.

We are looking at player progression with arena coin rewards and will likely have a more detailed announcement about it in the near future.

Will past event maps be playable in the future? Feeling the lack of context for the story so far.

love the new arena changes today,
is it true that longer arena queue times are related to more extreme differences in rank when a game is found?
is it intentional that out of all the runecrafting materials arcane fragments are the only material that has one way to obtain (outside of vaporizing materials)
also is the spellstone earth flat or round thankyou

Yes, when the game can't find a player near your rank, it expands the search to those farther away. That's why a longer queue time means you might find someone further from your rank.
Yes, different resources are meant to be acquired in different ways, but we are always considering player feedback, actions, etc. for future updates.
While most researchers believe Arcantica's planet to be flat, some radical thinkers believe it is round! Proof has yet to be found for either case.

What's the story behind playering being able to summon "clones" of named entities? Trying to reason it myself, I'm guessing spellstones are just fragments of the original's power.

Windsouls will not be used for any other Mythic, you can safely vaporize them. We will eventually change the Arena to no longer award Windsouls as more people get Verus. When we do that we will open up another place in game for Windsouls to be obtained.

Yes! We adjusted the Arena Box and the Arena Coin drops to account for this recently. In addition we are adding a new Drake & Drake rotating option for older reward cards to finish them off and give F2P and new players more options with their coins.

> Is there any plans for remaining chance pack fragments in player inventories? Like allowing players to spend 1 shard=1fragment to make up the fragments they are missing and craft the card
The Fragments in player's inventories is a result of a timing bug that ended up not getting fixed for longer than we intended. Right now there is no plan to allow for Chance Pack Fragments to be turned into anything else, however I will make sure this discussion comes up again. Very likely the result will be that the fragments will have their times corrected, meaning that they will simply disappear. This is because awhile ago we corrected the issue, and players who got ragments after that time wouldn't have them anymore. Allowing the older players who had fragments to get extra value from them would not be fair to the players who got fragments recently.

- Yes. The matchmaking algorithm tries to find the best match but will slowly expand its search over time. That said, it doesn't mean your match will NECESSARILY be further apart since a player close to your rank could queue up with you at any moment.
- Yes, though where materials can be found and how much is constantly monitored and subject to change as we keep track of the health of the game.
- It is round.

Spellstones are created by Arcantica. Those Spellstones can be used to summon their power, but it is not the original creature. This is why you and your enemy can fight with the same creatures on opposite sides of the battlefield.
This is also why you can vaporize them and the Bounty Hunter doesn't come arrest you for murder.

Are there any plans to increase Legendary Pack Fragment rewards from events or sub-diamond arena chests? It seems like i’m barely getting any standard legends since the arena changes and i believe my month in plat is directly responsible for a large portion of the 23 standard legends i have aquired in the approximately 4 months* that i’ve been playing. I understand if the fragments were too common in the previous arena.
Are there any plans to make it easier for new players to clear old event maps (increased energy potion rewards, half energy cost weekends for older maps, etc.)?

- There are currently no plans to increase Legendary Pack Rewards in events or arena chests, they were indeed giving too many in the past. However, they are one of the most well recieved item rewards we have so their likelihood to show up in other places in the game is high!
- We've discussed reducing energy on older maps in the past to help players catch up. I'll bring it up with the team again, but I'm not sure what the priority of it will be. The first part of smoothing out the large amount of maps that we have in the game was the map update, making sure that new players can have a hope of catching up to the bleeding edge of content seems like possibly a good next step. That said, we do purposefully allow players to progress on one star completions so that they can get ahead on maps and not go after rewards they may not be interested in, so players can catch up to content at least.

Orgoth is from a tribe of orc like people from the Wastes. Their society tends to not make contact with others and consists of multiple small tribes spread out across the region. They are often confused with goblins, but their much larger size and above average physical strength sets them apart from their smaller cousins.

One of the great things about Spellstone is that you guys let us recall dusted creatures after they've been buffed.
But there was never an option to change Titans once you buffed them. The second Titan node is considerably harder if you've selected Atlas, and considerably easier if you've selected Vulcanos, as your first Titan. This means practically that it's disproportionately difficult for older players than new, as the stark reality is everyone used to pick Atlas and now everyone picks Vulcanos first.
Your loyal players that have been here often more than a year therefore have to struggle to obtain what is now the best F2P card in the game (Vulcanos) whereas it's relatively easier for newer players.
Question: Do you plan to offer any remedy to this situation, like the ability to choose a new first Titan, or the general ability to trade them by dusting and reselecting? Also is there some reason this question has been asked repeatedly in the forum and never once commented on by your developer team?
Thanks, and keep up the good work!

Who's the statue of, in the Live Battle (Arena) part of the game?
Also, is there any symbolic meaning behind the rank/tier emblems? The sword and the helmet (?) I can understand, but it's becoming a bit too abstract for me to spot any significance in the patterns. I'm hoping that it's not just arbitrary (ex. no meaning besides it just looks cool).
I imagine that the statue is of royalty of the human kingdom outside of Arcantica, one who nurtured adventure into the uncharted and flight. Perhaps she looked up to the angels... I dunno, maybe I'm letting my imagination run too free here.

Titans are a tricky problem because there is no clean way to allow a player to swap due to leveling and runes. With older reward cards we can let you buy it back, but offering an option for Titans to swap would require more than that. With the update to the Titans though we could potentially allow players to salvage current titans and recieve back the materials to craft another one, but this would result in the loss of the dust and runes attached. I'll bring the issue up with the team again this week and see if we can agree on a solution. We will also re-examine exactly how much of a difference each titan makes in the second titan mission node.

The statue is of an important character from Spellstone's past. Their story has not yet been revealed in game.
Assuming we mean the Arena Divisions, each emblem is an increasingly ornate shield. The material and style of the shield is meant to celebrate the champion's earned rank in the arena. Shields are an important status symbol in the Arena, and the most celebrated champion to exist in the arena is Verus, who's own winds became a symbolic (and actual) shield for his allies.
I would love to hear more theories on who the patron statue of the arena actually is. :)
