Dear new players,
The game often gets stuck the first time, but will load the second time. Also it takes a little while (usually less than a minute) to load the very first time, as it is loading assets. It won't have to do this ever again.
Feel free to ask in game chat (or in the adjoining Kongregate chat window, which will still load even when the game doesn't) if you have any other kind of issue.

Have you tried clearing your cache on Firefox, using something like the ccleaner tool (free and easy to use), and then applying a popup blocker? Storm Wars should be running fine on Kongregate right now.

Are you using Kongregate? The issue you are describing does happen on stormwarsgame.com and that's a result of Amazon AWS stripping our code unpredictably. We are working on a fix for that, but in the meantime I recommend playing on Kongregate, where the game is working ...
