Just FYI everyone, we caught a couple of cheaters recently and were forced to ban their accounts. We have a pretty decent set of security measures in place that will detect injection attacks, memory tweaking, and other common attack vectors, and will automatically flag your account… so, please don’t try to hack us!
Also, if you do encounter an exploit / loophole, or hear of one, please let us know. We’ll give you a nice gem bounty if it leads to us making the game more secure and fair for everyone.

Apparently the game is hackable. After character2 was banned for hacking, we have another player whose Kong account was created 2 weeks ago and now have tons of legendaries and seems too experienced in deck building to be a 2-week-old newbie.
I am not giving away the name, but he is currently in arena top 10. Yep, unlimited gems and boom you are in arena top.

If you mean BiosBlade, I think he’s Storm’s dad. It’d make sense for him to be relatively new, drop a bunch of money to support his son, and have the strategic insight to be good, on account of his son inventing the game.
If you meant someone else, then I have nothing to contribute. But that one at least has an easy explanation.

That’s exactly what happened :) I didn’t know it but yeah, he dropped $500+ on storm wars (I had a long conversation about that with him, he promised to stop spending :))
We have a lot of anti-hacking countermeasures in place, so don’t jump to any conclusions, but if you suspect someone is cheating please let me know and we will examine the account.

Thanks for the kindness. I wanted to see for myself what my son spends 15+ hours a day doing. At my request, he let me do my own thing so I could have the full experience and maybe have some insights that only a total newbie would see. I’m not a gamer — except for playing chess. $500 and 2000+ games later (I couldn’t stop myself), I’m just now beginning to understand game play. It took a week of exploration before I realized I could look into the leading Armies to see how they are structured and then borrow some of their ideas. That is how i managed to finish #8 last week, and then grab and hold the #1 spot for 2 hours. Amazing how much fun that was and the massive anxiety it caused me. Now my Army is in free fall again and I suspect it needs major heart surgery — again.

I remember once upon a time (a long time ago) when as a teenager I woke up in the middle of the night, climbed up into the attic to see what the noises I was hearing were, and was shocked to find my dad giving my Nintendo a spin. I don’t think he ever played before or after, but it sure was interesting to see what someone from that generation thought interacting with a video game. My dad loves cards, and is very good at them, but I wonder how he would take to Storm Wars. Given that he takes a lot of convincing to do as much as send an e-mail, he may not be the best candidate …

how was it cheating @Dr? i'm using my bros' abandoned account (bec leaving it will just be waste, isn't it?)
it's twice the effort and time. everyday i have to get coli gems, do my crew battles, and fill up chests. also make sure both are at least top 100 so i get gems every week/season ends)
now tell me how's that exploiting, and how would it benefit me. If you want, i can give you my alt and try to do the same (coli everyday, arena grind, and crew battles.)
I'd love to see how you'll go far with that.

Having more than one account is 100% totally completely fine and not against any rules.
Having multiple people play the same account regularly as a means of unfair grinding is something we disapprove of. Occassionally sharing an account, like letting your child play your account as I know some players do, is fine within reason. Please use your judgment. If the intent is to get an unfair advantage, then that's bad. Otherwise it's good. Every different instance is a judgment call by the dev team and really by storm ultimately.

i would say it would be ahuge burden off my shoulders if the mods would say "stop playing your alt" then i would just be at peace playing one account from this point forward. less grind, less time, less effort. But it's totally a waste grinding my alt to a point where it can contend in a high level (at least in arena and crew battles, not doing much tourneys as i'm not a fan) then leaving it just like that?
All the pain it caused my fingers.
And besides, i have that dilemma when the android stuf gets released, i imagine i would spend less time on my laptop and more time on my phone - so my alt will get left out. prolly i'd just login to do my coli and fill up chests everyday then rage play my main account on my phone)
