Here some notes about the game loading.
- **The game can take a while to load the first time.** What you should see is a grey screen for a bit, then the Unity logo will appear and a magenta colored status bar will fill. Depending on the internet connection, the speed it fills will vary. Then when it reaches 100%, some browsers take as long as 30 seconds to process what it downloaded. The window should now be showing an orange colored war scene.
**- If the game does not appear after the status bar finishes** most likely a memory block issue has been encountered. The game uses a 256 MB block of memory and it needs it in one large chunk. If you have less than 4GB of RAM you may need to close down applications to make enough free RAM for the browser to allocate to the game. Also, close your browser and reopen it with one tab to play the game.
**- If you still can’t get the game to load,** there is a chance that you have an ad-blocker or plugin that is interfering with the game loading. Try playing the game in a ‘private window’ in firefox (menu→new private window) or an ‘incognito window’ in chrome (menu→new incognito window).
- After the game appears, you should see it download more resources. Please be patient as these only need to be downloaded the first time.
**- If the Play button appears, you click it, and nothing happens,** (usually more than 10 seconds), please check the status of the main server and check if it is up at [https://shard3.zom.bio/status.php](https://shard3.zom.bio/status.php). If that link is not working, the main server is either down or there is a problem. The game does usually report if the server is down. If the server is up, but you cannot sign in, please seek help either on this thread or with a dev in the chat room.
**Other Errors and Problems** :
**- Some players with Windows 7 32 bit + Firefox** are unable to allocate the 256MB RAM necessary to play the game. We are currently researching this and will hopefully find a solution soon. Chrome or Opera should work in these cases so please consider switching browsers.
**- “I got the message You need a browser which supports WebGL to run this content. Try installing Firefox”**
Please check this website for the status of your browser’s compatibility with WebGL: [http://www.doesmybrowsersupportwebgl.com/](http://www.doesmybrowsersupportwebgl.com/). If the link says “NAY,” it is possible that your browser either doesn’t support WebGL, or that it’s disabled for some reason. Follow the instructions here to enable WebGL: [http://superuser.com/questions/836832/how-can-i-enable-webgl-in-my-browser](http://superuser.com/questions/836832/how-can-i-enable-webgl-in-my-browser)
**- "I am getting an ‘unable to log into Kongregate’ error** : This is happening because your browser has cached an old SSL certificate. In Firefox, use the following steps to ensure that the correct certificate is being used:
1) On the History menu, click Clear Recent History. The Clear All History dialog appears.
2. In the Time range to clear, select Everything
3. Select only the Active Logins check box
4. Click Clear Now
5. Go to [https://shard3.zom.bio/status.php](https://shard3.zom.bio/status.php)
6. Hit CTRL-F5 to referesh the page. Make sure you see a green lock to the left of the address bar.
7. Go to [https://shard3.zom.bio/status.php](https://shard3.zom.bio/status.php)
8. Hit CTRL-F5 to refresh the page. Also check for a green lock.
9. If you see green locks on both pages, you should be able to play.
**- “I read this FAQ and still cannot play”** It would be extremely helpful if you could provide us with a javascript console log that shows what is happening when the game stops responding. In firefox, hit control+shift+k and post on this thread the last few things that are in it when the game stops loading. In Chrome, use menu→tools→more tools→developer tools (and make sure the ‘console’ tab is selected on the popup window).
Please leave a note on this thread if you experience any stability issues with the game, thanks!

Well, all I’m getting is a popup saying the “operation is insecure”. The console says something about prefixed commands being deprecated and "Password fields present on an insecure ([http://](http://)) page. " And of course, I’m left with a blank Unity page.

Actually, I’m getting a few of those on Kong’s front page, so that may not be the problem…

Ok SorasAni, could you tell me what browser you are using and on what type of computer? Are you not able to play the game at all?

We’ve had several players report problems loading the game in firefox, but were able to play when they opened a private window (menu→new private window), which disables plugins like ad blockers. If you encounter this, please let us know which plugins you might be using that would affect the game loading so we can notify others. Thanks!

I cannot load the game, while trying i get this error message (using firefox) :
“The browser could not allocate enough memory for the WebGL content. If you are the developer of this content, try allocating less memory to your WebGL build in the WebGL player settings.”
Anyone can help me to fix that ?
Thanks in advance.
(what i get with ctrl+shift+k – last lines – is :
Invoking error handler due to
uncaught exception: out of memory UnityLoader.js:1:29721
uncaught exception: out of memory)

@TicTac & Zzzi – could you tell me a little more about your computer, how much RAM you have installed and what the operating system is?
Tictac, I haven’t heard of that problem before but it’s possible something is crashing the game. Could you try playing in a private window and let me know if that helps?
zzzi, this is happening because your browser is unable to allocate the 256MB of RAM needed to play the game. Are you running on windows 7 by chance? We seem to have problems with win7 + firefox that we are currently rresearching.

Cant use the Edit Post feature so:
The popup only shows after a few minutes of loading with the grey loading screen in the background. The Laptop is only 1-2 years old. 4GB ram etc.
Also the Chat doesnt work properly. I can connect and see the chat but I cannot post myself, if I type and send it does not show up in chat.

Mapin, this just started after the latest update?
If you are using firefox, please hit control+shift+k and open the developer log, let me know what text is showing up around the time that the error appears. In Chrome, it’s menu→more tools→developer tools and make sure the ‘console’ tab is selected. It would help a lot in diagnosing what is going on here :)

I launched the game properly the first time I’ve tried it.
Since 2 days ago, I got this message :
“The browser could not allocate enough memory for the WebGL content. If you are the developer of this content, try allocating less memory to your WebGL build in the WebGL player settings.”
I think that my computer try to communicate with you, developer …

ok – for many of you on Firefox, we think there’s a problem on Kongregate’s end regarding an update with their ad service. I reached out to them to find out more, will let you know when I hear back (hopefully by tomorrow sometime).
If you are getting the ‘browser cannot allocate enough memory’, it is because your browser can’t allocate the 256MB needed to play. Best thing to try is to shut down a few apps and restart your browser with a single tab open. This is especially important if you have less than 4GB RAM on your computer.

From kongregate:
“There was a rash of HREF errors at the exact same time as you specified. Our engineers determined there was an update to Adobe that caused this instability. We hotpatched it 2 days ago and finalized the deploy yesterday. Please, please, let us know if you’re still seeing these errors reports as of today! We’d greatly appreciate it.”
Let me know if you guys are still having problems.

So I can’t get FF to load the game (I started playing about 3 days ago so it’s not an issue with the current patch as it’s never loaded in FF). I’m guessing it’s an issue with my particular set up as I have adblocks running, but I’ve tried opening it in a private window without these programs running, as per your suggestion, and it still doesn’t work. I’ve been using Opera instead, but the game crashes in Opera quite often, at least for me, and when I reload the game, it has to download everything all over again, which makes game play rather annoying. Here’s the FF screenshot [http://imgur.com/obe3Wmx](http://imgur.com/obe3Wmx) and the Opera crash when it happens [http://imgur.com/dhT5OyJ](http://imgur.com/dhT5OyJ) any advice or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
I don’t believe it’s an issue with the capabilities of my system, as I have 10GB RAM, 4 cores, etc. I also have Unity set to always activate. And I’m not getting an error report or anything, like some others are saying they are.
I’ve tried running it in Chrome as well, but only briefly as it lags something fierce, or rather, it runs incredibly slowly.

somos – what verson of firefox are you using? Please hit control+shift+k which will open a developer log, and tell me the last few things that happen there when the game stops loading.

I think I figured out the problem, you just put your browser in compatibility mode, if windowns 8, here worked.

Can’t load anymore, hit ctrlshiftk and heres the msg:
“Message: NotFoundError: The operation failed because the requested database object could not be found. For example, an object store did not exist but was being opened.. URL: [http://stormwars-live.s3-website-us-west-2.amazonaws.com/Release136b/UnityLoader.js](http://stormwars-live.s3-website-us-west-2.amazonaws.com/Release136b/UnityLoader.js). LineNumber: 2”
The correct link that shows is with the dot at the end of the link

Hey there, frist of all i found great that devs are so friendly.
My point is that i can’t open the game on my laptop, while i commonly play on another machine, i actually see the grey screen but i see the empty status bar just for a second, than it disappear. I followed all the post suggestions and i also updated my flash player and java to the latest version, i usually have no problems with unity and i use windows 7 and FF.
i tried to load on a private window and took a screen of the console report during the loading

and another at the end of it

@hatefromlv – I believe somehow your ‘indexedDB’ has gotten corrupted in firefox. Try this:
Go to Tools → Page Info
Go to the “Permissions” tab
Scroll down to “Maintain Offline Storage”
Click “Clear Storage”
@wlatt, I don’t believe that error (which is actually just a warning) would stop the loading process so something else is going on.
However, we are having issues with the game loading on windows 7 32 bit / firefox due to firefox being unable to allocate the 256MB you need to play the game. We don’t know why yet, I am trying to get a win 7 machine to test. In the meantime, I believe you will still be able to play with Chrome.

Got all the way down to Maintain Offline Storage but there is no clear storage anywhere
