SirV asked me for feedback, might as well make a thread to see if others have similar issues.
So, I started playing on my elder (Z1, 2014) smartphone as the game was released.
I'm not 100% sure whether I had minor issues with the battery spontaneously dying beforehand, so I didn't link it too much with SW.
But I did notice, that the phone would overheat (soley, when running this specific app) and over time, the battery got worse and worse.
Beginning of March I ordered a new phone, but as it didnt arrive in time I was using a "new" Alcatel OneTouch (obv. also not the best smart phone you can find) ... it had the same heating issues with this App and - over a usage time of one month the battery would go from 36h on standby to like 20-24h. That's too fast for a new battery, so I do link it to the overheating as well.
Is it just me - or can others report similar issues ?

The game consumes a lot of battery on my "old" HTC One mini. More than other games.

I play on CATERPILLAR S 60 wich is not primarly game phone and no issues.

I play on LG G4 and I have some heat issues as well. Prior to version 2.78 (or so) I think I got them twice. It appeared more often in the last days, at least 3-4 times until now.

Really appreciate this thread and your guys' contributions! We are aware of this and we're working on fixes. We're very caught up with iOS launch of course, and part of that implies that we're adding some plumbing behind the scenes to make the game work cross-platform. We'll fine tune stuff on Android and elsewhere in the coming weeks and this thread really helps. Please contribute if you're having issues and let us know!

yep lg g5 and overheat once a week with 1-2hrs play per day usually on end

LG G5 as well. The app definitely drains my battery quicker than most other apps, but I find that I can still get a lot of game play (~4 hrs) if I turn my screen brightness all the way down. I also notice that my phone generates a lot of heat while playing SW, but I have not received any overheating errors or had any negative effects due to heat.
