I'm trying to get a deck together that heavily features units with the Drain ability. I'm hoping this will help keep them alive a little longer. I've got a Rune of Rage and some copies of the Bloodbath spell, so I can build up some large attack numbers ... if the units don't just die.
**Kathoras:** I've got 4 (epic) copies of this guy right now. I'd actually prefer Grotesque, but sometimes Kathoras comes up in the single card shop. I find certainty to be very tempting. How many Kathoras cards should I get before it's no longer worth the gems?
**Grotesque:** I've only got one of these so far. I know the innate Frenzy is redundant with Bloodbath. But I think it would be nice to not be completely reliant on that spell for Frenzy. Some day, I hope to have enough of these to use them as my only 7-cost units in this deck. Or is diversification better?
**Drikkim:** I don't have any of these yet. Which is a shame, because most of the Drain cards I do have are either high-cost or don't have a lot of health. As much as I like the look of these guys, I'm thinking of leaving off of Reliquary for a while. I figure I should get what I need from Dragon and Frontiers first.
**Bloodbath:** Right now, I've got 5 copies of this spell. How many will I want in my final deck? I'm planning on using Saa-Rass, so I'd have up to 60 cards and greater than usual incentive to use spells.
**Mammon:** Only one of these so far. Blood Scent looks like it will be pretty awesome for a Drain-based deck. When I do get more, is there an upper limit on how many I should use in a deck, considering their Sacrifice ability?
**Black Whelp:** I've got 5 of these. Ultimately, I plan to convert them into Black Dragons. But for now, I'm kind of short on cards that actually have Drain.
**Black Dragon Egg:** Should I put any of these in? I mean, I'm pretty short on Drain cards. But these things don't seem to survive to hatching that often.
**Black Dragon:** Only one of these too.
**Elder Shorloth:** None of these yet either. These guys kinda go against the deck concept, since they don't benefit from Rage or Frenzy. But they still look really good. It seems like it can do a pretty big chunk of damage and self-healing without being buffed. And maybe having some cards that don't really need the buffs will be good?
**Brainstorm:** My crew just unlocked these, and I was thinking of picking some up. Would that be a good addition to what I'm trying to get going here?
Really any thoughts or advice people want to share would be welcome.
