Welcome to the beginner's forum! In here, you will find all the tips and tricks to start.
Getting started: Congratulaions! You completed the tutorial. Now, what do I do next?
What you need to know: There are 3 types of builds, *Energy, Heat, and Physical.*
*Note - Energy appears as blue, Heat appears as red. and physical appears as yellow.*
1. Energy - This type of build requires *energy* to use; It has two types of damage: Energy Damage and Electric Damage. Its main tactic is to drain energy, rendering your opponent's weapons useless. *Note: Some weapons may not need energy to fire.*
* Energy Drain: This is what makes energy mechs deadly. If you have no energy left, and your opponent uses an energy weapon, the energy damage will transfer to electric damage.
2. Heat - This type of build gives you *heat* when it is used. It has two types of damage, Explosive Damage and Heat Damage. Its main tactic is to give heat to your opponent, forcing them into and overheat or a shutdown, causing them to lose a turn or two.
*Note: Most weapons still generate heat for you.*
* Heat Lock: This is what makes heat mechs deadly. If your opponent keeps shutting you down and making you lose two turns, this is known as a *heat lock.*
3. Physical - This type of build uses sheer damage and *resistance drain.* It has one type of damage, Physical Damage. Its main tactic is to overwhelm you with damage.
* This type has no special power, except to wreck you quickly.
