I cannot get into the game...goes to loading screen then keeps booting me over and over...super frustrating and I am paranoid that if I delete game then reinstall all my 2 years of progress will be lost...I am using the mobile app for iphone

Just curious, for anyone who has not linked their account on an Apple device with an up to date OS, have you tried offloading then reinstalling? Theoretically, offloading should delete the app but not the data. I had previously offloaded the app without any problems before I had linked my account. However, since I had problems yesterday before seeing this thread, I tried both offloading and an uninstall, although neither worked at the time. Unfortunately, I have no idea if the offloading would have done the trick.

i don't think I ever linked the game to my account. If I uninstall/reinstall, will I lose all of my progress, or is there a workaround? Thanks in advance for your help.

I just uninstalled the app then reinstalled it and it booted me back to level 1...2 years of grinding building up my characters gone. I am literally sick to my stomach right now...please tell me there is a way to get my saved progress back???

Totally fine. I had just wanted to suggest offloading for people who had an Apple device but hadn’t linked their accounts as offloading and reinstalling solved quite a lot of problems for me before I stopped procrastinating and linked my account. As I already stated, offloading deletes the app but not the data. However, it is not always a guaranteed fix. Again, I did have the same problem as everyone else but tried both offloading/reinstalling and uninstalling/reinstalling with a linked account. It didn’t seem to work at the time, but I must have done it in the right window of time because when I tried it later, it was fine.
Sorry, I didn’t think to add this info before. For those who don’t know how to offload, Go to Settings->General->iPhone/iPad Storage (you might have to wait for your app names to load)->Battlehand. Once you tap on BattleHand, you should see an option to Offload App. Directly underneath, it will explain what offloading will do if you are concerned.
Again, I don’t know if it will work, but it is fairly easy to try, and it should not affect your data.

Thanks for the suggestion btw, and would love to know if it works but since it appears that some cache data got corrupted (prob during the propagation delay, we're not sure), I think it's unlikely to clear the problem. Sadly :(
