It wouldn't be so bad if there weren't so few special gummies to ride to extend your time, even with everything maxed out, half the time I don't even SEE some of them! The sheer speed you need to get very far and the height you get makes it harder still! I'm currently VERY SLOWLY grinding my way to stopwatch 4, while I've time travelled once and am at 9 more rifts for my second trip...ugh!
