Hey everyone. Becoming a moderator a recently found out I could make sticky forum topics. So why not make one that will be helpful to new and experienced BMC players all together? So if anyone would like to add some cool tips to this game or just leave a thank you note after learning something new about bloons, here’s the place to do it! :)
.
I will go ahead and start with what I know, that I’ve either learned by myself or from someone else.
.
**General map**
1. You can move your map both with your mouse and your keypad arrow buttons.
2. While playing on the Firefox browser, you can zoom in/out a slight bit, to see a tiny bit more of your map by clicking on Ctrl + and Ctrl -
3. Using the print screen button (prt scn), and some copy-pasting in a image program (for example Paint – free on all windows Operating Systems), you can make a complete picture of your city for everyone to see. [http://i.imgur.com/KdwOlrM.jpg](http://i.imgur.com/KdwOlrM.jpg)
4. The entire map is 50×60 tiles big. Meaning, 2991 tiles in total in each of your cities to capture (You start out with 9 tiles).
5. The shortest way to the edge of the map, if you’re standing on the tile in the middle of your city, is south (24 tiles).
6. If you got some crazy skills and are lucky with the map creator, it is in fact possible to reach the edge of the map at city level 14.
7. The content in the chest maps are actually random. So if you don’t like what you get, you might be quick enough to refresh your BMC game before it saves the progress. That way, you can redo the chest tile, and hope for another reward.
8. Clicking on the compass in the upper right corner takes you to the middle of your city.
.
**In game tips and tricks**
1. If you got Monkey Knowledge level 4+..Every time you use any ability, your pineapples will blow off immediately after drop
2. The free monkeys you get from MK (Monkey Knowledge) and the special item. You can sell them and rebuild them for free. A nice addition if you are not all too happy about that 1 red bloon that got past your defenses.
3. Using Road Spikes and Pineapples in the range of a village, makes them cost 10% less gold.
4. If your 4/0 engineer is within range of a 3/0 village, the engineer trap will give you 50% more cash (more with increased MK)
5. If you play the game on low-Quality, you can place towers closer to each other. It also reduces the footprint of the roads (bloon tracks) by a tiny bit.
6. Holding shift while placing a tower, makes it possible to place down the same tower several times (until you let go of shift) without having to click on the tower from the menu.
.
**Keybindings**
1. All towers got their own keybinding, hover over your available towers while fighting any tile to see the each ones hotkey.
2. You can also upgrade the tower you have targeted with the , and . key. You could also try out \< and \>
3. The backspace button will sell towers.
4. By hitting spacebar you can alter between normal speed and double speed. You will also be able to start new rounds with the Spacebar.
5. Unfortunately, there are no keybindings for activating abilities yet.
.
**Youtube channels**
I’ve added some channels here that are uploading BMC content frequently. Some of the videos might help you out with new cool tactics. Others might show you what you have yet to experience.

**MK (Monkey knowledge)**
1. It takes the same amount of card xp to go from rank 5-6 as it does going from rank 14-15. So keep at it and don’t get too overwhelmed. It does take a long time to reach rank 15, but several players have already reached that rank on all their towers, so it’s not impossible :)
.
**Asking for support**
During your visits to BMC, you might find yourself in a bit of a iffy, and would like some help to ease your problem. Here are 5 advice’s that might make your day a little brighter.
1. Ask in the kongregate chat room. You are automatically put into a BMC chat room while playing this game. Chat room 1 is particularly active, while chat room 2 and 3 are often silent. Use them to your advantage. Try to use proper English and refrain from swearing while interacting with others. Using harsh language rarely gets you anywhere good.
2. Search for a topic or make a new one in the BMC forum. If you read this, you’re at the right place!
3. BMC got a more active forum over at NinjaKiwi. If you make an account there, you can also participate in the topics discussed. [http://ninjakiwi.com/forums/204-monkey-city-general/posts](http://ninjakiwi.com/forums/204-monkey-city-general/posts)
4. If you struggle with a serious issue, ask the support desk of the game, and have them help you out. Here is their email: [support@ninjakiwi.com](mailto:support@ninjakiwi.com)
5. Work out a solution on your own. Sometimes you might not be able to figure out a proper solution to clear that damned impossible tile. But give it a few tries. Try to come up with different setups to beat it before you give up and seek for aid. It will boost your self esteem when you beat a til you’ve struggled with for a while.
Will update as I hopefully remember more helpful tips.

The pineapple must be in contact with a bloon or it won’t blow off immediately. (in contact as in: “if it is a spike, it will pop bloons” touching)

For keybindings, there is also space to change the speed, very useful when you want to change the speed without moving your mouse (for example with darling guns).
Otherwise a very good topic, I hope more players will add their things.

A few other tips: towers and strategies that worked well at lower levels might not work as well higher up. Don’t be afraid to change your strategy, and try new things.

Minor but useful: the arrow on the compass in the upper right always points to your 1st farm.
Can be handy when your cities get big and you lose track of just where you are.

Also a few tips about specific towers:
Spike factory (spactory):
The MOAB-Shredr spikes don’t provide any advantage unless they hit a MOAB-class bloon, so if you are planning to upgrade a spike factory to x|3, place it further up.
Don’t depend on your spike factory for too long, it can only do so much. Use it as a safety net, rather than a popping tower (unless it’s an x|3).
2|3 spike factories will wreck the MOAB layer of a DDT, but not the regrow camo ceramics underneath.
Ice tower:
Ice shards combined with a 3|2 boomer will stop most bloon rushes. If you are on a tile with extra camo, you might want to add in a x|2 village.
Using ice shards gets more poppage, but leaks sometimes. Arctic wind makes sure no bloons leak.
Dartling gun:
If the line of fire goes along the track, it can provide pretty good poppage.
Place your farms where your dartling gun aims, so that you can collect them while using the dartling gun.
A 4|2 dartling gun is almost never worth it, spamming 2|2 or even 2|1 (as long as they’re under a x|3 village) is probably better.
Dart monkey:
Juggernaut needs to be used along straight lines of track, so that it can hit lots of bloons at once.
Spamming 2|3 dart monkeys can be pretty effective sometimes
Ninja monkey:
4|2 ninjas under a x|3 village wrecks everything
Note: these are only my opinions, if you disagree don’t hate :)
