Kong's removal of game chatrooms has effectively destroyed the community.
That makes me very sad.
I've played games like "Gravitee wars" for about ten years, meeting hundreds of nice people.
Dozens within the current lockdown crisis.
Now, that has ended.
All good things come to an end. So, how do I delete my user account?

Pepzi,
You linked to a FAQ that links to another page that suggests emailaing to request a ban.
1. https://www.kongregate.com/forums/7-technical-support/topics/1919826-how-do-i-delete-my-kongregate-account
2. Says "If you really really want to have your account deleted, then check out the following link."
--> https://kong.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/articles/205101805-I-want-to-delete-my-account-
3. Says, "To request your account be deleted or suspended, please contact us at support@kongregate.com or submit a request here."
That says, "Please permanently ban my account".
I did not ask for my account to be banned.
I asked about how to delete it.

sockcooker,
The [kong zendesk page that the FAQ links to](https://kong.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/articles/205101805-I-want-to-delete-my-account-) has instructions on both how to suspend your account and how to delete it.

Pip, thanks for responding, but your link is to a page that lets me ask to "Please permanently ban my account(s)".
I do not wish to be banned.
I asked how to delete my account.

Your post was probably removed by a spam filter, rather than a human being.

Email support@kongregate.com from the email associated with your account and request in your own words that you wish to have your account deleted. There is no way to do this on your end. If you can't access the email, use the support form for a permaban but you can make it VERY CLEAR you want your account deleted. I'm sure they'll take care of it for you.

As I mentioned, there are two options. Ban or removal. Send the email to support@kongregate.com asking to be deleted.
Also, I did not hide the post. Not sure why it was (I assume auto hid by Kongregate). But it is unhid now.

Why can't I request it in public?
I am verified as me, by merely posting here.
Why were posts deleted? Some were reinstated, but I still see "This post has been removed by an administrator or moderator" on one. Why?

Well, your profile says you're in England, so you can under GDPR. Make it clear your public post is a request for for your data to be removed under your right to erasure and they will have to compy. Or, you know, you could just email support...
(Note, this will only apply to your personal data, so your email adderss for example. This will likely make your account inaccessible because Kong won't have a record of the details needed to log in anymore but will leave some other things visible on the site. If you want everything gone you will have to requested it by following Kong's process, which is an email to support.)

sounds like alot of hooplah to me.
If you are on MY website and YOU are in England and I ran my WEBSITE from say MARS, i would not have to comply with your GDPR.
Do it kong's way, or just go away.
That be like saying "well in England you have to use a spoon to eat a steak, so if you are talking to me video conference, and i am in England, you better eat that steak with a spoon!"

Who wouldn't use a spoon to eat steak?

exactly, so why would you follow some other country's rules when you are or your business is not in that country?

Wow. Not knowing how laws work but being condescending to others. You are a walking bar of irony, aren't you?
Also, deleting or not giving a damn are definitely two different pairs of shoes in terms of security, especially because the site in question, here kongregate has already announced they will drastically reduce their resources for the site, which directly translates to possible security breaches in the future, which means compromised e-mails, etc. After all the site allows you to purchase stuff, if that info gets out, it's a huge risk.
TL;DR: Apart from the fact that he was told how to delete his account, deleting it or "just forgetting about it" makes a huge real-world difference. You being ignorant and living in a fariy wonderland doesn't change that.

Doing it kongs way now means lowering the quality and raising the profability of gaming. I was completely in the dark about 7/24 but i had coindcidentally sent support an email asking about a game going down and what that meant for the money I had spent. I really just thought it would be like steam when someone gets hacked, just give their shit back because you're the boss and you regulate your currency. Apparently they only process refunds for a 30 day window before a game is shut down.
How could I be so stupid, of course money only last for 30 days, everyone knows it goes bad after that. If they gave people their old money back for a game people liked and can NEVER play again that kongregate endorsed by having on the site in the first place then they could be held liable for decency,
So please, if you want that to be the future of gaming, being bled dry by people who say they love gamers while instituting changes that means ONE months inactivity can lead to your account being deleted, and seeing as one of the huge points of this place was being able to work hard for badges in fun games while talking with buddies and now all that will just be deleted because your few MBs of data are such a huge drain on a system you perpetually support.
As I was saying I was unaware of 7/24 and i was pissed about how after reading the user agreement I felt less than human. I mean 99% of us havent read it cuz who would but it is vile.
I urge you to read the MTG financial reports (https://www.mtg.com/financial-reports/) and the CEOs statement (https://www.mtg.com/annual-report-2019/) to get an idea of how we're talked about.
"[the projected rise in esports viewership] – represent a major commercial opportunity. Esport fans have unique characteristics com- pared with other sports. They are young, well-educated with higher than average income than other sport fans and are infa- mous for being difficult to reach through marketing (70% use ad-blockers). This makes them a relevant target group for any company wanting to rejuvenate its brand and expand its business beyond its traditional base by getting exposure to these interesting target groups."
This one even goes into incredibly deep detail about the decisions made to screw gamers out of more money and the language used seems ignorant to the fact that these "totes casual investement techniques" makes our experience worse? Here's a nugget: "Micro-transactions have benefited developers as they can have lower development costs and allow them to maintain consistent revenue streams from the same player base."
