Flash support is ending (formally) at the end of the year. I do not believe that Kongregate has any intention of releasing its own home grown flash player solution. If you are looking for other solutions to play Flash games, I would suggest doing a google search. Just be careful...
* Using an old version of a browser is not recomended (due to security problems)
* Using a broser that isn't Chrome, Firefox, Safari, or Edge is not supported on this site. That is not to say it won't work, but just that it is not gaurenteed to.
* Flash in general is being shut down as it is an easy method to embed or hide security concerns. So continuing to use them after support is no longer around is a risk.

An old browser or a non-standard browser are your only options. But as TheRealPip notes it's really not recommended. Use either an old browser or a small one that's not stripping out Flash and you are much more vulnerable to hacks and exploits, the sort that get detected and fixed through browser updates on a regular basis. Normally Flash would be included in that, but with it being retired hackers will probably stop making hacks for it.
It also might not work. Not only might you find the browser is incompatible with the site, but Flash itself has auto-update features which Adobe might use to remove it at the end of the year. And of course there is no certainty how long Kongregate will keep the games up on the site.

As a Newgrounds pundit once said, this is bullshit. It's like saying Javascript is spreading viruses and stuff... Well, it is... And browsers and megacorps aren't killing Javascript because Google's ever popular browser (and most browsers) were basically built around JS, and all the damn adscripts.

Flash is insecure almost by design. You visit a site and it loads code which your browser has no way of verifying. Instead they depend on Adobe to do the security but that is a recipe for trouble as Adobe's interests rarely align with browser makers. Adobe's main market is developers (they are the ones paying its bills through Creative Cloud subscriptions), and for them it needed Flash to be as easy to make things for as possible, so very forgiving of bad coding practices.
In the end browsers gave up waiting for Adobe to get serious about security and reliability. They instead re-engineered their browsers to put Flash in a sandbox, i.e. in its own memory separate from the rest of the browser and OS, so if Flash crashed it just caused the plugin to fail, it could not cause crashes or memory corruption elsewhere. They did this just for Flash as by that point it was the only plugin still in use.

So are any games going to be supported on this site in 2021 due to Flash being phased out? Is it going to be converted to just a page for Kongregate's games?

There are lots of games on the site written in such a manner that they require only HTML5/CSS3 and possibly WebAssembly to continue to function, which are standard parts of all modern browsers. Unfortunately there is quite a collection of old, unsupported games based on Flash and the old Unity WebPlayer plugin that have become fan favourites, but are not supported by their developers any longer. Those ones will be hardest hit as it will be very difficult to continue to play them going forward. The supported games have probably already been updated to use something other than Flash if they are going to continue to be supported by their developers. It isn't a trivial thing to convert Flash to another platform, and in many cases Flash was chosen because it was easier to code than some of the newer technologies. It is probably time to start taking screenshots of your old favourites if you want to keep some memory of them as you prepare to move beyond the time of Flash games.
Update: just to be clear about one aspect of this, the decision wasn't just browser developers wanting to push Flash off the cliff, Adobe itself has been aiding in the effort to lay the thing to rest. It was due to be retired years back but there were some large businesses that had just rolled out infrastructure using Flash that lobbied to have it continue for some time yet. Adobe pushed that date to the end of 2020. As for if you might be able to finegle it to keep working past 2020, even Adobe says the player itself will start blocking content as of Jan. 12, 2021. It really is a done deal here.

This was already answered, [here](https://www.kongregate.com/forums/1-kongregate/topics/1932722-the-future-of-flash-games-on-kongregate), by Kong admins.

A bit confusing. Seems like using a stand-alone, but not stop botd for flash games. Wouldn't a stand alone (run offline) stop botd from working?

BotD does not rely on Flash at all (hasn't for years). If you already have the badge for a flash game that is the BotD, you just have to load the game page (even if Flash is totally disabled/not working) and you will get the BotD. Does this answer your question?
If not, and you are asking if you run flash in some sort of "offline solution" on your own PC to progress through a Flash game to a point at which you would get a Kongreate badge, then try to get the BotD on this site (without Flash enabled)... I don't believe that will work.

I have the latest version of Firefox installed and I just re-installed flash. And now I play Kong games once more, all I needed was an offline installer.
My Google's led me to [this](https://archive.org/details/flashplayerarchivedversions2) where someone has supposedly mirrored all of the installers from Adobe' website, dunno how long it'll be up before Adobe gets after him, but I'd go for the torrent and try to download only the 1 you need and not all.
**EDIT:** As of the 12th January 2021 I now get blocked again, apparently Adobe coded into the last version, and who knows how many previous versions, a killswitch as it were... however if you go back to an early enough version flash works again. Currently I am working with version 28 of flash on the latest version of Firefox. Will test other versions of flash and get back to you all... please note I am not using an installer per say I am using the libflashplayer.so file dropped into the /usr/lib/mozilla/plugins/ folder on a Ubuntu Linux system.
Most of the versions are currently mirrored here: https://archive.org/details/flashplayerarchivedversions2 (Until such time as Adobe gets that taken down, I recommend you get to and make your own backup of a version that works for you.)
You don't have to download it all, just the version you want. Click on the "Show all files" and navigate to the 330 folder for version 28 that I am using if you wish or test others.

My concern with that would be Firefox, which at least for me auto-updates on a regular basis. If they haven't done it already I would expect the next update will disable Flash. So if you have it working now disable Firefox updates, and keep on top of any issues with the version you are using such as malware/exploits they fix in later versions.

Just tested it. Adobe's killswitch killed it too. It's useless now!

This is so sad. All these corporations start off so friendly and then turn into monsters. Including sites bought out by others. I hate this world sometimes...

Somewhere on their forums, someone on Newgrounds posted someone else's solution that bypasses Flash's killswitch. The Newgrounds Player will work then, but it only works for the Newgrounds Player specifically, not on Kongregate or any other site using such a thing.
