Why isn't Kong allowing player data, in this case for SuperMechs, to be transferred to the main site which would allow players to continue playing via the mobile or PC version since Flash is being depreciated?
I know the economic answer, so people buy Kreds to get Tokens so Kong get their cut, but the patch work SuperNova solution is a stop-gap at best, and a no-go for some.
But this seems like a mean-spirited decision to hold player data ransom like that, and as someone that has been here since 2008, I feel we deserve better having supported Kong for almost 13 years now.

Who is telling you this? Because usually in-game data is owned and managed by the developers. I have played many games in the past where your progress on Kongregate sync'ed with your mobile app or "insert developer's website". One such example was Game of Thrones Ascent. Many other games do this as well (especially when the game is closing down on this site). Did you ask support@kongregate.com this (and was told that they couldn't help you)? Or did you ask the developer, and they told you that Kongregate won't let them move your game data?
Some games on this site have a solution that they run on a totally different server (this is a decision by the developer), and they are not able to port them over to some other enviornment. This isn't a complaint you should direct to Kongreate though. In this case, it is a developer decision.

This is coming right from the CEO of Gato Games (whom acquired SuperMechs from TS). He is telling the community that he isn't being allowed to transfer player data to the main site because of Kong.

So a few things,
- We bought SM a bit over month ago (nearing 2 at this point).
- To my knowledge, part of the agreement with Kong was disabling the external account system in SM. I am not sure if that's SM's own agreement, or the usual, or whatever. It's worth mentioning that is second hand information, the agreement was made 3+ years before we bought it. If there's a loophole or whatever, we really would not know. If we're breaking it right now, we also don't know. I'm basing this off the formal instructions to support staff and the past outgoing PMs and emails to players I can see.
- For anyone who imagines that is strange: It's not. Almost every partner we've had offering us through other platforms required us to disable external links, external accounts and so on. It's completely normal and fair. The page is disabled on almost all our secondary platforms.
- Kong owes you (or us) absolutely nothing. None of the Kong SM players would have played SM without Kongregate's platform (which was and is awesome) and both browsers and Kong have made abundantly clear that, yes, Flash will die and no, there isn't a magical solution.
- If SuperNova works for SM (dont think it does, didn't for me at least) that's really nice of kong, but they don't owe you (or us) that. This change has been coming for years.
- While we could (and maybe should) have brought an HTML5 version, we never announced it (did work on and cancel one in secret) and never gave false expectations to anyone concerning it.
- We have been trying to get our options from Kong for weeks now, we've asked them if there's a solution to integrate Kong accounts in our desktop or mobile versions easily (no response) and we also asked them for permission to manually move accounts or enable our account linking tool on Kongregate (no response). They don't owe us that, but this is what I refer to when I state we're trying to get permission from Kong.
To put it bluntly and harshly, players knew for 3 years they wouldn't be able to keep using Flash and never got any promise, indication or announcement stating any differently. You've been playing under the knowledge your data may be lost, I think anger regarding it is misplaced.
Kong provides a service and deserves its rightful payment for it. If they end up granting our permission (we also tried just sending out a mass message offering movements a bit ago, hoping to get permission implicitly through whatever team that manages that) that is a gift from them to their players that they get nothing out of. Kong offers chat, moderation, a platform to find games, an account system, a payment system, a lot of awesome stuff that takes money to build and host :P There's a reason SM Kong was always my favorite way to play SM.
If they don't, so be it. They aren't doing us any slights and neither are we doing our players any slights. That it'd be less convenient to play Flash Games including SM on Kong has been abundantly clear for 3 years now. It's not fair to imagine there'll be a better solution when nobody has announced one.
I hope we'll get a response off of their Apps team soon so we can clarify what are and are not the options.
Cheers!

So, its been a week now, and I have not heard movement on this from either side, tho it seems like this is Kong's court right.
Given the other threads about SuperNova issues, it would be nice to at least get a definitive answer on if the linking/transfer will be allowed before the 12th.

You can [Download and check Kartridge](https://www.kartridge.com/download?referral=7c31f044-e2b2-414f-b258-489bddce85fe). This link will even get you an additional 15% off coupon that you can use to purchase a game (you won't get this coupon if you simply download it from Kongregate using the normal link).

You can plan Bloons Tower Defense 5 [here](https://www.kongregate.com/games/Ninjakiwi/bloons-td-5). However, it is a flash game. So you will need to install the SuperNova player to be able to play it now that Flash is now longer supported. This might have some negative impact though on your saved game location (the .sol file where games are saved might have changed places depending on what your browser and OS combo you had).
If you can be more specific on exactly your problem (can you not find the game? Can you not play the game? Are you not able to load or use SuperNova? Are you able to play your game but not able to get your old game data? Something else?), that would help.

Have you tried playing the game yourself? It's stuck at the preloader screen saying that it's 263% loaded lol.

Extremely well stated summary of issues that many game devs face.
And yes, Kongregate can and does prevent accounts from swapping off of Kongregate, unless the dev gets Kong's permission.
By default, Kong player data (even if the game has its own servers) is locked to the Kong portal.
This is why Kong disallows some games that have their own login services. (like the old Mochi or I think it was A1 logins) and why some of those sponsored games (by A1 for example) never appear on Kong or are removed.
