I started playing burrito bison launcha libre and when I went to try and spend some kreds on permanent upgrades, it just said that kongregate.com refused to connect. WTH is happening

You need to contact the developers for this game for any in-game issues (including the inability to buy premium currency, items, or game content with kreds). As long as you are connected to the Kong API (your plug is green) then you should be able to use kreds to purchase these things.

I've had the red connection graphic a couple of times over the weekend, even though logged in and playing a game. I.e. I could connect to Kongregate.com but not to whatever server the game uses for high scores etc.. It seemed to clear up quickly though and is alright now. So if it's the same problem try again now.
