Whatever game I try to load right now, I'm getting this error. Some sort of server problem?

I've been having the same issue, not sure when it started as I was playing Idling to Rule the Gods this afternoon, took a nap, and then everything was down a couple hours later.

Same thing with me. I was playing MOnster Idle TD late last night and today the game won't load. Same thing with Tower Keepers. Is KOngregate shutting down? It is doing the same thing that Wartune did just before it went down for good.

it seems to be an issue only for some games, as others such as Trimps and dream world I do not get that issue

konggames.com's domain registration expired. Who hasn't forgotten to renew a domain registration before? Highlights include Google losing google.com in 2016, and MS losing hotmail.co.uk in 2003.

Animation Throwndown is working. I got the Badge of the Day only because I'd previously earned it. This doesn't bode well.

Tyrant Unleashed players are experiencing similiar problems, i just got "an error occurred during the connection to game208033.konggames.com." Hopefully this is fixed soon as some of us will be missing on rewards from ongoing events, thanks in advance.

So if many people can still play, is this a location issue? The server doesn't just play russian roulette and cause an error for people at random, there is a deciding factor. Canada here.

As all these issues started after news reported this.

I'm having the same problem with Blush Blush, Creature Card Idle, Firestone Idle RPG, Idle Monster TD, Idle Tower Defense, Infinite Cosmos , Little Idle Monsters, Restaurant Idle (it shows a message about the local storage, however, after that message it says: "The loading us taking too long. Something went wrong? Maybe. Contact the dev so that he fixes it..." ), etc.
I have problem with Idle Mons, but it's different. The game stops at a loading (it says 0%...then, when I look, it's all black.).

From northern Europe. Same issue here. Coudn't play any kong games I tried at all today.
Now I'm worried when this will be fixed, since it could take till next week if workers from Kong go off for weekend. Was hoping things would get fixed today. Players have quite a few games that need daily sign-in and such so kong being unplayable for many days could be bad for some people.

Yeah, the konggames.com domain registration expired and hasn't been renewed yet. If whatever DNS you're using has updated to reflect that, you won't be able to connect. However, it looks like the konggames server is at 199.232.197.36 so a workaround if you know what you're doing is to update /etc/hosts with the url from the error message you see. For example if the error is for 'game287709.konggames.com' then add "199.232.197.36 game287709.konggames.com" to /etc/hosts and you'll be able to play.

Is this forum not part of their domain? And the pages load, just the game itself doesn't. Mind you, I don't know a lot about website administration, but could these things work with the domain unavailable?
