I started a game and a few days in, I tried to buy something.(4.99$ starter pack) Not only did I not get what I bought, the game was reset and I had to start over. I have a few months of play now and I don't want to risk loosing it all by buying anything else. My name I started with (gaming_ogre) was replaced with 'player'. I can't change the name in-game. Tech support failed to fix the problem. They kept asking for my game name. It seems I need a name change in order to change my name?!?! Ironically my name on this website is gaming_ogre.

Assuming the underscore'' is the problem, is there someone who can change the name to 'gamingogre' or 'gamingunderscoreogre'?
P.S. If it matters I load the game through the Epic launcher.

The Epic Launcher is for games from the Epic Games Store. So you should contact either the game maker for that game, or Epic's techical support if it's an issue with their launcher or store.

Kongregate has released some of their games on the Epic platform, for example Animation Throwdown.

Kongegate are releasing games on the Epic Game Store? I did not know and would not have guessed as it's a direct competitor for Kartridge.
Probably better to post in the forum for the particular game, such as [Animation Throwdown](https://www.kongregate.com/forums/726779-animation-throwdown). That forum is closing down like this one, so there's a limit to how much support you can get by posting, but there's a post with a link for support at the top.
