Well, we'll see. The important thing in my mind is how it handles f2p and c2p (10/month) vs p2w folk.

This is sounding utter rubbish for everyone but the whales. We now randomly get cards, which we have to hope to get 4 of before they become useful. And now it appears that to keep those cards we have been able to get enough of to be competitive, we have to randomly hope to get specific tokens for one of the good combos of those cards. Long time players like myself who have grinder out enough to be competitive with the lower spenders/whales might as well just give up now, as we have zero chance to remain where we are.

I'm just curious on why we even need to boost combos? How does that improve the game or even make it more fun? To me it's totally pointless? I won't be trying anymore in this game or even going to improve combos. Just plain wack. Going the wrong way devs!

Hahahaha, but how much money or time is needed? No offense but that's about one of the dumbest things I've heard. And who's the one that'll have majority of mastery completed or a lot of? Hahahahahahaha

IE, yes you will get tokens for comboes you cannot make, but upgrading said combo will automatically cause all of the required research to use it immediately available. If anything, this system will allow MORE deck flexibility, not less.

> With pictures now having been posted [on imgur](https://imgur.com/a/eSeFe), it is now clear you were correct, Bellenium. According to [this screenshot](https://i.imgur.com/xVMFEby.png) from the in-game explanation of how combo mastery works, mastering a combo unlocks all the recipies for that combo. So no research will be needed. That seems very, very strong, considering that the research time to complete a level-one mastery appears to merely be 24 hrs.

Thanks, I didn't remember WHERE I saw it, I just remembered seeing it. You saved me hours of digging <3

> Nope, leaked images showed it will be trough researching system. Researching boost for specific after-combo card. First 10% boost on all stats, then 20% boost, then 30%.... and so on till 100% prob.
It's safe to assume you have to have researched the combo AT LEAST ONCE before upgrading it. What I meant was that you get all other versions of that combo automatically researched, most likely. For example, let's say I reserached Big Ass Gun + Fry. Then I upgrade that combo, I think then all other items that make the same combo with Fry (don't remember it's name off the top of my head) would be able to be automatically used in the combination. If that makes any sense. That's what I meant when I said it will make deck building more diverse.

Hi Modchi - I'm halfway through the adventure - should I stop my progress to wait for the tokens or will they be available after onyx (farming). Thanks.

Too soon to say, sorry. I think they will indeed be available through adventure, but I don't know through what areas/mastery level.
> Other questions and speculations regarding the screenshots
The screenshots were taken off of old, outdated information and should not be considered Combo Mastery's final form. More detail will be shared soon, likely tomorrow afternoon.

It says it won't affect new players...but what about literally any new player in a guild? I had to step out my first Siege event, because the opponents were way above my level. This will mean that newer players will find it even harder to break into guild Rumble/Siege, as they'll get put up against even harder decks. Which does lead into my point that they need better matchmaking for those (a rank 5/6 player being put up against 10's? Seriously?), but that's beside the point.

Little confused here. A new player in an established guild will of course expect to lose a bunch, because the guild is facing opponents reasonable for their historical strength. Or do you mean something else?

This will be bad if you can just buy the tokens. Kong is just trying to find new ways to make spenders pay more money. Keep this stuff up and they will ruin the game.
