What's the reasoning behind shortening the Swole Club?

I know this is a minority opinion, but I liked Winter Clash. Finished the milestones although I lost half my battles and ended with 250 super mythic and 200 mythic object stones. I assumed it was going to be a process for me to get 1k of either so I'm glad to have a chance for more stones in another challenge and from swole. Since we get the same points for a loss as a win, everyone can accumulate stones and build toward a mythic. I'm ok with that.

You pretty much have to be a whale to benefit from this. Don't get me wrong, I'll take rewards wherever I can get em, but with the combos that get boost, requiring such mismatched item cards, it's extremely dificult to get passed lvl15-25. How bout making a special challenge that applies to all players? Or is the new challenge format actually geared towards the whales. In appreciation of all the thousands of dollars they've spent?

At the time of this writing, in-game, the card is incorrectly named "Borobu Addicts"; evidently, the first "o" should be a "u". Also at this moment, both this thread's first post and the zendesk article with the same information have, within the text-based list of combos, the in-game name "Borobu Addicts". In contrast, both this thread and that article have the correct "Burobu" spelling within the event title and within the displayed collection of combo images. I'd like to assume that the combo images shown feature the correct spelling because the typo has been corrected in the developers' servers; can we expect the in-game typo to be corrected across the live servers in time for the event? ... Speaking of typos, I'm surprised "Obediance Box" went unnoticed / unaddressed. ... I'm surprised that a new Clash event is coming up so soon after the first one. Setting aside my concern over the rate at which mythics are being added to the game, it really strikes me as unusually fast to be putting out a second Clash event. I suppose the developers might just be rushing to get three mythic objects into the game so that mythic object stones will work. Since this new event will still fall squarely within the educated BGE, one might expect Niel Goldman as the reward but, with spoilers showing Nibbler on the Roof getting a mythic upgrade, it seems we'll be expecting a musical reward. It certainly seems odd that the reward will not be aligned with a current BGE. If Clash events are held at this same pace - one every other week - it certainly could be a good thing for players. Players will be incentivised to maintain strong SFC ratings, which should help matchmaking across the Arena, Challenge, and Clash events. At this rate, if milestone rewards remain the same, even low-level SFC players could actually make use of their mythic object stones after, oh, just four or five months of play. These seem like good things. I have no expectation that this pace will be maintained, though. The first event being aligned with a BGE matching the awarded mythic object led to speculation that the clashes might occur once every BGE. The naming of the first event led to speculation that the clashes might occur just four times a year - once every season. Either option seemed like a reasonable pace, though both options also seemed too quick when considering the much slower rate at which Swole Club events were occurring. The present pace is quite unexpected. ... The flavor of these Clash events could use some more work, I think. The first event's Christmas theme came through the chosen combos, but the mythic chosen had nothing to do with that theme. The combos in this Clash have a looser connection to each-other, but it's there, while the mythic is, again, unrelated. ... Looking forward to Swole Club! I'm concerned about the changes involved with reducing the span of the event, whatever those changes might be, but hope the event remains just as interesting and rewarding to play (or improves).

I'm warming up to these SFC challenges, but i wish they weren't advertised to non-SFC accounts. I have an alt account that is not SFC, and the visibilty of the challenge is damn morbid stuff. My suggestion is to put a lock icon over the challenge plaque, just like the Combo Matery tube before players reach Level 12, etc. A little"syntactical sugar" relieves unwanted stress. I guess I'll leave a post in the Tech forum.

let's not forget they promised we'd be able to watch ads to speed up training. Guess that is out as well. Got to sellmore gems

will there be rewards that more than the top 100 can profit from this time? although it's been just about a week since the last clsh event, adding some leg stones or mastery stones to the milestones can't be that hard

Can't wait for all the people who were saying it's only one mythic item there is nothing to get up in arms about show up to now say it's only two mythic items. At this rate by next year we'll have 30 mythic items and 20 mythic characters. I presume the all mythic deck is coming sooner rather than later.

Anyone with a brain can see legs getting complete obsolete. There was a time when i could beat some players of top guilds with epics in my deck. Even though their deck was fully quadded legs. Atm the game is steering towards top 100 for the challenges. The free mythic reward is insane. the person ending 101 will see the gap widen. The challenge has not proven fun for everyone in our guild that was lower than SFC1800. So its kinfd of funny to call this an SFC event. If you look at how many people in SFC are top 100 and even top 1000... well those percentages are rather small. i tried to make this game work for me. Spend 110 euro's on the game. (Way more than i thought) and tried to make the most of some changes. However what I see is that the changes continue to widen the gap between top 100 and everyone else. I still finish in some challenges top 500 and a managed top 1000 in that winter challenge but it is not a fair system. giving lower ranked players a handicap instead of top players. I think that the game deserves some attention to get a stronger playerbase and challenges should be geared toward the entire playerbase. When that is in place I also do think that a tournament or a ladder for top players would be much nicer. than just throwing them all a mythic every now and than. and give prizes similar to brawl for that competition among top players. At least that is not so insane as the free mythic for everyone in top 100.

Yay! We'll spend the holidays glued to our phones again! Horaaaaay!

TBH, all the rewards you get through the duration of the event is your reward for participating in the event, and compared to everything else in this game are quite substantial. As long as they explicitly let us know what's going to happen people should just drop it.

Is mythic Nibbler a confirmed thing? I haven't seen much about it except for this post.

Just noticed that the art for the Burobu Addicts combo is shown oddly zoomed in, cropping out Louise's card collection. While I hope the combo name gets updated, I hope the art doesn't change like this.

When I created the image, two things happened: - I patched together an image last minute (as opposed to using a screencap); the actual card in game has not changed - I manually edited the name I've fielded the other questions and concerns with the devs and hope to have more information soon!

This will be my first swole event and I’m scared/stoked to see what it’s all about. Only been playing for about 6 months and the game is addictive. Thanks for bringing out more stuff for me to sit on my phone and evade family interactions this holiday season!

It's definitely different. The first day, just advance as much as you can, then spend swole coins on buffing up the characters in the swole window. You'll see what i mean once it starts. Try to buff the shows you're using the most, for instance if you use mostly Futurama cards, concentrate on buffing those. Some people will design their decks to use only one or two shows for this.

So...will super mythic stone rewards be more often from now on for sfc players? would be great to get a few mythics out of it, because it is really difficult to craft one out with only 50~150 stones if it only hold annually.
