### **TLDR: Be polite & consider the *quality* of your post. **
** Welcome! We love talking about Animation Throwdown, but we have a few rules in order to keep our community constructive and on-topic. Kongregate supports a very diverse community and our rules are both to protect other users and to more effectively support the Animation Throwdown community. **
For more details, read below.
***
***
##### 1. Be polite & KEEP IT CLEAN
* No harassment, threats, excessive insults/negativity, mocking new players, hate speech, spam, offensive, or NSFW material.
* Even critical feedback can be shared respectfully, and posts that break this rule are less likely to receive an official response.
* No "call outs," "naming names," sharing of personal info, or any other accusations. [Contact support directly](https://animationthrowdown.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/requests/new) to provide info.
* If you need to resolve a one-on-one conflict, the conversation most likely belongs in private messaging.
***
##### 2. NO POSTS OR DISCUSSIONS ABOUT hacks, cheats, exploits
* If you need to report this type of information, send it directly to support @ [https://kon.gg/throwdownhelp](https://kon.gg/throwdownhelp).
***
##### 3. POST IN THE CORRECT FORUM
* **General** - discussions between players and official threads.
* **Technical Issues & Feedback** - reporting or discussing technical issues, and most threads that are directed at mods/devs. Need help inside your account? Please [contact support](https://kon.gg/throwdownhelp).
* **Players looking for Guilds** - for individual players looking for a guild.
* **Guilds looking for players** - for guilds that are recruiting new members.
* **Guilds looking to merge** - for guilds with at least 10 slots open and are for another small guild to merge with.
***
##### 4. POST QUALITY CONTENT
* No derailing or "hijacking" other people's threads.
* No "bump" or other junk/spam posts meant only to put a thread on the front page, this *may* include "+1" replies if it does not contribute to the conversation or the thread itself was locked/hidden.
* No "necro-bumping" (bringing up old topics).
* No fake information or accusations, posing as officials, or impersonating others.
**Please consider the *quality* of your post.** Your replies should pertain to the original post of whatever thread you're posting in and add value to the conversation. Your new threads should contribute to the community or start a discussion related to the game.
If you want to have a discussion unrelated to this game, please check out [the other Kongregate forums](https://kongregate.com/forums).
If you need to urgently bring something to the attention of the devs or support team, [submit a request](https://kon.gg/throwdownhelp).
***
***
** The [Kongregate Conduct Policy](http://www.kongregate.com/pages/conduct) must be adhered to.**
Kongregate and its designees have the right (but not the obligation) in their sole discretion to refuse, edit, move, or remove any user generated content without warning. Further detail is available in the [User Agreement](https://www.kongregate.com/user-agreement).
Breaking these rules can result in a temporary or permanent ban from the Kongregate forums and/or Animation Throwdown without warning.
If you have additional questions regarding the rules, please see the FAQ and follow-up instructions provided below. Threads and/or posts complaining about or asking for moderation will likely be locked, closed, or removed.

#### Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)
**Why was my post hidden, locked, or modified?**
It was either reported and hidden due to rule-breaking or was accidentally caught in the spam filter.
If your post specifically says it was caught as spam and is awaiting review, that is typically resolved within an hour. If your post was hidden for rule breaking, please read the rules above for more info. If you have additional questions, please contact [the Kongregate admin team](https://kongregate.com/feedbacks/new) or a moderator.
***
**How do I report a post for rule-breaking?**
The quickest way to get a mod's attention is to use the "Flag Post" option next to the date/time of the post itself (just above their name and avatar). Sending a PM to a moderator may actually take longer, and we ask that players *not* create a new thread asking for moderation.
***
**How do I report someone for bad behavior on the forums?**
Please don't "feed the troll" or "name and shame" on the forums. Use the "Report Abuse" function by visiting that user's profile, tapping on the drop-down menu next to their name, and selecting "Report Abuse." The report will be reviewed by the Kongregate admin team.
***
**How do I report someone for bad behavior in the game?**
Please don't "name and shame" on the forums. We will investigate any reports thoroughly, but ask that all reports be sent directly to [Throwdown Support](https://animationthrowdown.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/requests/new).
***
**I need help with the Offer Wall, who should I contact?**
Please visit the [Offer Wall FAQ](https://animationthrowdown.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/articles/234693547-Offer-Wall-Troubleshooting) for helpful info or [Contact Support](https://animationthrowdown.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/requests/new) for one-on-one help. Support can help with rejected offers, pending offers, reporting incorrect info listed in offers, and more.
***
**How can I discuss a legal concern?**
Due to the delicate nature of legal inquiries, we cannot officially reply to or facilitate conversations about legal concerns. Please [contact Kongregate](https://kongregate.com/feedbacks/new) for your request to be handled by the legal team.
***
**I don't like the rules, what can I do?**
Our rules are here to keep the community clean, inclusive, and productive. We are open to suggestions but probably won't change areas that are intended to protect the privacy and peace of mind of our users. If you would like to suggest a revision, please reach out to [the Kongregate admin team](https://kongregate.com/feedbacks/new) or send a [Private Message to BeardedOrange](https://www.kongregate.com/accounts/BeardedOrange/private_messages).
***
**What about my rights to free speech?**
We certainly welcome a variety of players, different opinions, and even critical feedback! Our intention is never to take away your right to an opinion. However, Kongregate is a privately owned website with rules we enforce to protect and help the community. For more information, please check out the [User Agreement](https://www.kongregate.com/user-agreement), [Conduct Guidelines](https://www.kongregate.com/pages/conduct) and/or [rules of the forum](https://www.kongregate.com/forums/727066-general/topics/1813304-forum-rules-please-read-before-posting).
#### If you need to share feedback about these rules or report something that would break forum rules, we can take that information on a more private channel. In this case, please [contact support](https://kon.gg/throwdownhelp).

Greetings! This information is in regard to a recent forum change that, temporarily, may cause some hidden post issues. Here's a bit more information:
> *Originally posted by **[JohannasGarden](/forums/1/topics/1839151?page=1#13158946)**:*
> As many people have brought up over the years, a lot of the problematic behavior in on Kongregate is from accounts created solely to cause trouble. We're going to begin addressing that problem by applying a *stricter set of rules* to users who are new *or* who keep saying things they aren't supposed to say a high percentage of the time.
>
> The best example this is the ability to post website links. If a player has a positive history, we want them to be able to post links from youtube, image hosting sites, or use link shorteners. On the other hand, a new account might spam their personal channel, post something inappropriate, or post something harassing towards another user and not care if we ban the account. If someone is new or if they have misused this privilege in the past, they will be restricted from posting these things.
>
> So, we're no longer having the same rules for everyone.
> *Originally posted by **[JohannasGarden](/forums/1/topics/1839151?page=1#13158948)**:*
> **In the forums**: If you haven't earned the privilege of posting a links/images yet, then if your post contains an image or link, your post will be held until and admin reviews it.

> Please be patient! During the first week or so, we will probably go through all the hidden posts at least twice a day. If your account is brand new, your posts might be premoderated for awhile, but if you've been around for awhile and use our social features positively, we'll manually change your status so you can post links without them getting hidden for a time. If your posts keep getting hidden again, you are probably using some pretty bad language or mentioning some awful sites in your posts, or something is wrong. Email support@kongregate.com and we'll investigate!
The Kongregate administrative team is working to get this system working smoothly! In the meantime, we thank you for your patience.

**"What can I do if my post was hidden?"**
First off, please don't panic :)
If your post was accidentally caught in the new filter OR in the older spam filter, in either case your post will be reviewed and corrected as needed usually within a few hours (or less). If it has been a few days, please email support@kongregate.com.
