Excellent points and great detail! I don't believe the economy details of the future buyback function have been finalized, so I'm not sure what we'll end up with. I'll share the notes from the post though, I think they are good talking points as more of it are worked on. AFAIK, in Spellstone (another Synapse game) buying back a card comes at a small loss-- it costs more currency to buyback a card than what the player received for recycling it. However, if there's a card that was recently buffed, they allow players to buy back those cards at the _same_ amount of currency they got for recycling, for a limited time after the card got buffed. I don't expect a Throwdown system to be greatly varied from that, but it's too early to know anything at all for sure :)

I think the rate for combo cards should be better: at least 15/30/60 for Epic Combo cards and 35/70/140 for Legendary Combo cards.

Good question, thanks for bringing that up. Here are the details:
There is a 5% chance that you will get Mythic Stones when recycling a Legendary card.
The quantity you receive is random within a small range, and each range depends on the fusion level. Details below :)
**Mythic Stones for recycling a Legendary:**
Single Fusion - 5% Chance to get 5 to 10 stones
Dual Fusion - 5% Chance to get 10 to 15 stones
Quad Fusion - 5% Chance to get 15 to 20 stones

Additional math:
5 to 10 stones averages 7.5, x 5% chance = 0.375 stones per recycle. That's an expected return of 0.375 stones per Legendary
10 to 15 stones averages 12.5, x 5% chance = 0.625 per recycle. Since it's a dual fused, that result divided by 2 = 0.31 stones per Legendary
15 to 20 stones averages 17.5, x 5% chance = 0.875 per recycle. Quad fused, result divided by 4 = 0.22 stones per Legendary
Not that this is a great source of Mythic stones, but for those of you curious, it's more advantageous to recycle single Legendary cards, as the average return on fused+ Legs is less than unfused ones. Also, statistically, more trials will even out your distribution, reducing the likelihood of walking away empty-handed. Four tries at a lesser payout, vs a single try at the quad payout, will give you more consistent returns over a large number of trials.
