Greetings Multiversers,
As the game has progressed, we have tightened our design process and now have specific power goals when creating Mythics. **Some of the older Mythics are at a weaker starting power level than others, and we want to bring these up to par with our current standards.** We want people to be able to use characters they love, rather than feeling constricted by what’s optimal from a gameplay standpoint.
**In the coming months, we will be reviewing and buffing some of the older Mythics to make them more viable in a variety of situations.** Our buffs will primarily focus on the earlier levels of the Mythics more than the later levels, but they will all be evaluated. We plan to roll this change out slowly, at a rate of about 1-2 per Battleground Effect cycle. The buffs will take place just before a new BGE starts, around the same time that we add new cards, combos, and recipes for that BGE.
**In addition to buffing older Mythics, we plan to create Legendary versions of Mythics that don’t already have a Legendary version. **These don’t have a specific release cadence. In most cases they will release alongside the buffs to their Mythic counterparts, however this is not a strict rule we are adhering to. Some of the more powerful Mythics will not be receiving buffs, but will have Legendary versions added to the game.
We’re looking forward to this update and hope that you are too! If you have any questions or feedback, let us know here.

Is this similar to the Legendary buff that was announced and on the road map months ago but never done, or will this take priority over what was already announced 7 months ago?

So like, give Leela more starting HP and add a Legendary Bob?

What happened to the buff to older legendary cards? I can appreciate a buff to a mythic Leela at level 1 but those older legendary object cards were important to sticking around and retaining value of the cards I have collected over the past almost 3 years. I would like to use some of them again. Thanks

Hey All! Great question about the card buffs. We are able to buff mythics now because they don't require a buy back system. Because buffing older cards will result in people asking to get back previous recycled copies, we do need the buy back system in place first. Ultimately, YES, we do still have future plans for a buyback feature as well as the corresponding card buffs. Those particular tasks are more complex and engineering heavy, so we don't have an ETA yet.
The immediate focus is to do the updates outlined here and a nice chunk of Quality of Life updates. We have a roadmap post coming up (hopefully later this week) that will provide a few more details of updates planned in the coming months.

how about instead of making more mistakes and killing the game further you try and fix the ones you've already made . like taking Mastery away from PCS.

how about giving us the buyback you promised us like a year ago to fix the buff you put in place three years ago .

how long will it be until we get quick battle for challenges, its the most boring part of this game slogging through the lower levels.

Hey Kinzeo, I am so sorry about any confusion or frustration. Any time we announce upcoming changes to the game, I try to be pretty clear when things are in early phases and always include that early information can change. In this case, buyback (and card buffs) was [shared late January](https://www.kongregate.com/forums/727066-general/topics/1795373) as an early peek at plans, but without commitment to a due date. We know that update is important to our players and feel there's a lot of value in a buy back system and buffing older cards. The features are still planned for future development, but because those tasks are engineering heavy (and require additional testing, localisation, etc.), we can't promise any specific timeline.
I'm not sure what you mean about a buff from 3 years ago, but please let me know a bit more and I'll try to get some answers.
Cheers,

Hey JQ, Challenges are being evaluated and the developers are aware that players want instant play in that area. We, too, aren't happy with their current format and are looking into improvements. We're still in early phases of that, but will share more details in future posts.

They’re not taking cm away from pc. Myself and hundreds of other players would protest. It’s in the game, they’re not removing it. Move on.

Hi I believe this person is talking about the original legendary card buff based on the time frame referenced. But maybe it's something else.

Yeah would love to know why that comment was removed. But I'm sure it's some nonsense answer.

Thanks Ernie!
Kinzeo, are you referring to this: https://animationthrowdown.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/articles/115001052952--OFFICIAL-Legendary-Mythic-Buffs-New-Skills-Combo-Updates-Steam- from April 2017? We won't be able to directly change something that was implemented ~2 years ago, but if you have new feedback to share I'll pass that on to the developers to review.

Hey, looks like it got caught in the spam filter accidentally. If the message reads "hidden as spam" as opposed to "hidden by an admin or moderator," if it wasn't actually spam, it usually gets corrected within the hour.
Oddly, your post got hidden by the spam filter _after_ I had already quoted and replied to you! :)

Modchi, I appreciate the mythic boost. It's kind of crazy my level 4 bobby is roughly the same strength as my level 11 Peggy.
I strongly encourage you to fully think through the legendary characters however. That is going to have a severe impact on challenges. I managed to get 12th in the father's day challenge using epic bobs. Having legendaries would have made it impossible for any card to survive the attack. At this point in the game, we have enough options. More characters are not needed, especially when they wouldn't have new combos. And it used to take a while to build up characters, with tier boxes, there are alot of people who will go heavy the first time the character is offered and throw the balance of the game farther off.

They could add more combos per bge instead of the typical 12 they usually do. They could also give stronger combis to lesser used characters. This way more chracters would be seen instead of the same 4 or 5.

The only way to justify adding all these legendaries would be to put 5 of them in the "free pool" legendary pool. Cut and dried, anything else is just going to make choices in this game worse for everyone but mega-whales. Replace old dead items like Blernsball and add at least 5 of the new legendary characters to the pool.

12th, as in 12th place overall? Running Epic Bobs...yeah right, good joke!
