Hello Multiversers,
We’re excited to announce that Card Master Challenge returns on Tuesday, 02/25/20 and ends on Wednesday, 03/04/20!
For this event we are introducing ***Tie-Breakers***. The first player to get that score will be the one who wins.
Similar to the last event, you will collect points by completing a diverse range of tasks and compete on a special leaderboard that contains just 99 other players (100 total players, including yourself). The tasks will vary in objective and points awarded.

Grouping will be done inside 2 separate tiers of this new Challenge. The tiers are determined by your Arena Level and called Elite Card Master Challenge and Card Master Challenge respectively.
### Card Master Challenge = Arena Level 1-10
### Elite Card Master Challenge = Arena Level 11+
You will be automatically entered into the event when signing on during the event or taking an action that earns you points while the event is active. If you were to reach arena level 11 while the event is running you’d remain in the regular Card Master Challenge.
Milestone Rewards will be awarded as certain point amounts are met. Ranked Rewards will be given out after the event has ended and are based on how well you placed on the leaderboard among the 99 players you were matched up against.
Please let us know if you have any questions or feedback.

# Card Master Challenge will be active until 03/04/2020. The original posted date has been changed to reflect this edit.

Just let people tie. We all put enough money into this game.

Regardless of the addition of the tie breaker, I've pretty much lost interest in this event. You don't really do anything new or different to participate, whereas the Mega Quests are new and different, and I'm really enjoying making strong decks that will satisfy the requirements and still win. (Also, I think the revised version that we're doing now is far less confusing to those who don't keep up with the forums.) Another showdown would be exciting too (as long as it maintained the seeding/placement structure of the Brian event; I remember being dissatisfied with the Zapp event, and I think it had to do with a change in the seeding methodology).
But even though I don't love the Card Master Challenges (and especially not their frequency), I still applaud Kong for introducing so many new events in the least year. I know it's a lot of work, but they have definitely helped keep things interesting. Thank you!

Yeah, no thanks. It was cool the first time or 2. Now it’s just another mundane challenge to forget is even happening.

I don't view this as an event that returns any kind of joy or satisfaction or challenge, it's a low-effort revenue boost for them: and good on them for finding a format that works and then milking it. I just treat this like an extension of the Store. Except this event consists of spending money to buy resources and cards *in hopes* of acquiring a mythic object card.. except the cost could be 5x or more of the cost of buying a mythic object through store depending on how many/what whales you end up grouped with

Well, I think this event is the bees knees!
I hope you continue with the frequency. I love playing arena and having movement on the leaderboard.
Rewards are nice too, even if you don't spend for it. Just a fun time.
Thank you Kong, I appreciate you.

Or you can get lucky and be placed with a low scoring group so you can grab a Mythic with 50k score. I look at it like opening a SEP or Mom Box. Most players don't get anything good but every now and then, a player gets super lucky.

I don't enjoy participating in these, so I don't really try, yet I still feel I should not use any stones, fragments or refills outside of this event or else I'm being wasteful. I resent that the feeling of excitement and anticipation from getting enough stones to get a card is diminished by knowing that it is optimal to delay even futher, waiting for one these.

Good move, this eliminates that whole collusion aspect of it.

It wasn't collusion it was cooperation players were willing to share rewards so multiple people benefit from 1st place rewards if there's no pride to be won for winning a contest based on what you spend now scores will skyrocket because everyone has to battle for it and the lower spenders who would have been able to take a tie will now lose out and when all of the groups scores shoot up because of this it's again the ftp low spending players who will suffer for it

Why are you so salty about other player's coordinating ties?
If you don't like it, why didn't you push them to #2 by burning your own resources?

Sounds like someone who didn’t get an invite to tie

I agree. I really enjoyed the first CMC, when nobody expected it and had time to prepare. It was fun, and gave more people a chance of winning. But then when Kong started pumping them out, and selling Arena refills, it lost all its charm.
Before these challenges you knew when you were approaching getting a new card or hitting a new milestone, and then receiving it was exciting. Then it was on to making plans for the next one - it maintained interest. Now for a few minutes you get a LOT of excitement (and disappointment too of course ;) ) when you cash in your stones, but then there's nothing for the next few weeks. Just a big red exclamation mark on your toolbox, which teases you every time you see it. You used to look forward to seeing that mark - now it's there 24/7 :(
I'd prefer to see them just appear out of the blue, and not to a schedule. That way you're forced to make a decision - do I cash in some of my stones now, because with a bit of luck I will pick up [insert card name here], or do I continue to hoard?
Because there is no decision to be made at the moment - it's hoard, or you won't be able to make top 20.

Who's salty? I'm happy that they came up with this. Obviously, Kong didn't intend for there to be ties, or they wouldn't have changed it.

Because I already used the majority of my saved-up resources on the first one (and won it), and I'm not dumb enough to spend money to replenish them.
