So i just got leela for the 4th time and noticed that with her upgrade she literally gain a point on motivation and nothing else. So it basically cost me 1k in stones and 5k in nixon coins for a 1 point upgrade on my mythic? Gfo here

Just wait until 250 tokens won't even raise it up 1 level. Good times.

...which is why if you follow the "which mythic character should I choose" threads on the subreddit, the advice is almost always to take a new card over an upgrade (with Super Mythic Stones) in almost all cases. Even the worst mythics are useful enough, here-and-there, to have more value than the small upgrade increases.
That said, how would you like it to work? M1 Leela is 94 and M7 Leela is 105. Or ~2 points of power for each upgrade. How much faster would you like that? If it averaged 4, then you'd probably be here to complain about only getting a 2 point upgrade, so I assume that isn't enough.
Lets say, you are looking for the upgrades to be 10x of what they are now. Each upgrade is now pretty notable, here is what Leela would look like at 10x:
M1: 18/40
M2: 22/45
M3: 26/50
M4: 30/60
M5: 34/70
M6: 38/80
M7: 40/90
M1D: 43/100
M2D: 45/103
M3D: 48/106
M4D: 48/110
...
What this sort of upgrade does is shift the balance of power from legendary PCs to mythics and whales will just shift all of their spending to mythic boxes.

I still suggest upgrades over boomhauer or quagmire. You need cm2 unless it is a new combo to be playable in which case the cm is hard to get unless you go in boxes.
And for instance if you have a couple of leelas with cm it's fine. I agree the levelling of a mythic is pretty costly. Well not in nixons or gig watts luckily. But 250 shards equate roughly to 80 dollars (subtracting additional stuff you get). And the deeper you go in a box the cheaper the shards become. But those are upgrades anyway.

" And the deeper you go in a box the cheaper the shards become."
Do they?
Mythic box:
Tier 1: 40 gems per fragment
Tier 2: 40
Tier 3: 40
Tier 4: 38
Tier 5: 44
Tier 6: 41
Tier 7: 52
Tier 8: 64
Pretty steady until you get to tier 7 when they get *more* expensive
Discount Mythic box:
Tier 1: 40 gems per fragment
Tier 2: 40
Tier 3: 40
Tier 4: 38
Tier 5: 44
Tier 6: 33
Tier 7: 27
Tier 8: 45
Tiers 6 and 7 do get a little cheaper, but once you get to repeating tier 8s about the same as the lower tiers.

It is only the melee boxes where the costs drop on the higher tiers, but it comes with significantly more expensive tier 2-4s and the tier 8s settle in at 30 gems per fragment
Tier 1: 40 gems per fragment
Tier 2: 80
Tier 3: 80
Tier 4: 70
Tier 5: 40
Tier 6: 35
Tier 7: 18
Tier 8: 30
If your goal was 2000 fragments, for example, then they do have very different costs:
Mythic: 98,150 gems
Discount Mythic: 85,900 gems
Melee: 65,700
...but then these boxes also get released at different frequencies. The Melee box might be a cheaper way of getting a pretty well leveled up mythic, but if we're on a one melee per BGE schedule, those boxes will be relatively rare next to the others (with the discount box also being rarer than the regular one). So, part of the math on the savings would involve how long you are willing to wait for the box with the card you want in it. IE, if you are looking to go deep on Zapp, well you missed the "cheap" melee boxes, maybe we'll see them again in a few years?
