Does this mean the in-game chat is going away?

They said in discord that guild chat will remain available but other chats, like AT game chat (rooms 1, 2, and the best one, 3), won't.

What does this mean for players such as myself who are blocked from discord based on my location?

I suspect a lot of Discord servers will be created in the near future. It's a much better tool for guilds than Kong chat, alone.

How about no? Or maybe ask your players if they want this sort of change? Because they don't.

The link is not working for me. When I attempt to join, I get a message stating the link is not valid in safari.

How can an external application be more efficient than a ingame accesseble forum? Just clicking the "K" in the game, and you are at the forum, that seems efficient enough to me.

Went to their website and the only way to order online was to download an app. I called and they don’t take phone orders. Very easy decision. I ate somewhere else. Discord is great for chatting, having separate channels and voice communication (which isn't used for AT), but it is terrible for being informative. Just one example, go to discord and try to find information on the new filter bug. You either ask in one of the channels, probably being the 17th person to do so, or use the search function. Searching on "trait filter" gets 0 hits but "filter trait" (both of those without the quotes), gets 3 hits -- at least they are actualy relevant. But look at that, you have to have the words in the right order, that's not good. Or you come to the forums, scan down the list of new posts and see it is the top one in Technical Issues. Not that there are any, in the forums or in discord, but good luck finding an official response. All that said, I want to share one thing which likely won't make a difference for you but somebody reading this may find useful. On a PC, you can use discord as its own standalone program or you can access via the web without installing anything extra. Doesn't help mobile users, I know.

So are you guys paying attention to how irritated we are by this? Did you think to ask your players how we would feel about moving to Discord? I guess I need to remind you that without us, the player base, you’d have no game. Instead of forcing us to download that stupid app, your attention should be focused on #1 improving the game itself, and #2 improving the forums. This is just pure laziness….but I guess I’m not surprised. This is Kong we’re talking about, after all.
