I'd like to start a petition to make the forum player ran, since Kong no longer wants to support it, it's not like they have been putting out any information in a timely manner in the last few years anyway. Atleast let the players continue to post and help each other since Kong has given up.

I'll sign that petition, but...
Like 6 months ago I offered to be added as a moderator on the subreddit (where there is one "active" Kong moderator and four completely inactive others), but my request was denied/ignored. If they wouldn't even loosen their grip on the subreddit, I can't imagine that they'd do it here.

I have offered at least three times I the last year, especially when the subreddit was basically unmoderated and we started taking things into our own hands but was told it was unnecessary. I’d sign this petition

They've unfortunately made it clear that they don't care about us players enough to even acknowledge these posts. I guess it's goodbye forum and, undoubtedly shortly after, goodbye Animation Throwdown.

Hope this will be temporary I tried the discord thing it used an unreal amount of data on my phone so I had to uninstall it

I'll sign. I'm lazy and would prefer to stay here unless someone wants to tell me what's good about discord and why I should switch. I wont download another app just for this game. If the game stopped working, I would probably just quit playing instead of jumping through hoops to get it working again.

They're fairly active on Discord but have all but abandoned these forums, but they've been missing from here for years.
Discord is good for having a live chat but it's atrocious for replacing a forum. There is no way to have topic discussions, because there's just one room that everyone blasts with nonsense and gifs, no way I'm scrolling up through pages and pages just to try and find where the conversation left off or what others contributed to it. Instead it's walls of text about peoples personal lives - feel free to talk about it, but take it elsewhere not the main game chat page. It's just completely off-topic 95% of the time. And I can't see them making 100+ channels in there just to allow pointed topics of discussion like forums do.
But they've made up their mind. Fact is, a small percentage of players use these forums anyway. Even if some of us enjoy this and it makes way more sense, this is gonna close and Discord is their choice

Well, they're forcing that on you as, again, no more forums in a few days. You can actually just open Discord in a browser tab without the need for downloading it. I'm not sure if that works on mobile, but I'd reckon it does?

I'll be on reddit if you ever wanna chat. There are some good people on there sharing info and reviews. I get on there about once a day to check

I'll sign that petition, too. We especially need to keep guild forums up and running. Our guild has three years of siege and rumble records, guild rules, plus lots of information.
The general forums should be kept, as well. As others have said, Discord is not the place for sharing information on discrete topics. Many of our members can't or won't join Discord. And who has the time or patience to scroll through bs looking for bits of useful information?
