> So it looks like it does take into account win margin. Both Suite Deliverance and SS Sphinx won their previous matches, and then lost match 3. Suite Deliverance lost by 12.5k while SS Sphinx lost by 7k. Suite Deliverance went from 2nd to 14th, while SS Sphinx went from 3rd to 12th. Suite Deliverance went down 5020 in MMR and SS Sphinx went down 4764. Since the caliber of the opponent was much stronger for Suite Deliverance, it must be the margin that is driving this difference. The net difference in MMR is 256, and net difference in win margins was 5.5k, results in each point of MMR being equivalent to 20 helmets in rumble.
Nice find.
But yeah, I'm still advocating for changes to the MMR formula to have margin of victory/loss be more of a factor when determing MMR ladder movements. I think it will make for more competitive matches, which make it more exciting for everyone, IMO.
So far for us, in six matches, the margins have been 1405, 3389, 3408, 7165, 15381, 15972. In other words, except for the 1405 margin, it hasn't been all that exciting. We know pretty early if we're going to win or lose.
Unfortunately there hasn't been any feedback from Kong about this so who knows if anything will be done.
Edit: Of course, right after I posted this, we ended up winning match #7 by 142 points. Of course, this was because the other guild had two missing but we'll take it. :P

Your win was probably at too low of a MMR to sustain your point ranking.
The new system really rewards win streaks and punishes losses. The magic number seems to be 3. Win 3 times in a row and your ranking will go up by quite a bit.

THE SCORING ON RUMBLES IS A COMMON CORE MATH NIGHTMARE! As an engineer that works with complex calculations and matrices, I can professionally say....the scoring on Rumbles is incomprehensible and without ANY logical reasoning other than...."Oh! Your opponents deck has two more mythics than you do, so even tho you killed them both without them getting off a single hit, you only score 73 points, because....algorithms."

FatAndy worked out the rumble scoring formula in this thread:

It's linked to in the Tips & Tricks thread:
