Alot of these codes are deactivated and it's super annoying to put it just for it to be rejected, so once a code is out can it please be activated forever?

No it cannot. Because they are sometimes limited in uses and some also become reactivated. The simple codes 'red', 'blue', 'green' and 'yellow' have been reactivated more than ten times allready.
The request for a more comprehensive error message that makes a difference if it's deactivated or allready used by a user is reasonable.
Your request somehow feels entitled to me.
