The last VIP upgrade is incredibly useful since it lets you afk-grind any spells that consume sources (Alchemist) without needing to waste slots on spells to generate those sources. Makes Alchemist and the associated subclass much, much better. The other VIP upgrades, eh, nowhere near as crucial.
