# Cake shop is unbalanced

1 post

The other day I had this in my Cake Shop: [![](https://i.imgur.com/CfBuX8am.png)](https://i.imgur.com/CfBuX8a.png) I am pretty certain the Spooky Samir price is the largest cost I've ever seen in the Cake Shop, and I was wondering if it was worthwhile. It is not. Not by a long shot. Math time: [ 360 - 16 = 344 XP ] for [ 120,400 cake ] is [ 350 cake/XP ]. Roughly 60% of a Large Cake Pack per XP. That's... steep. A Large Cake Pack costs [ 599 cake ] and contains [ 6 \* 40 AXP = 240 AXP ]. For [ 120,400 cake ] one could get [ 120,400 / 599 = 200 large cake packs ] containing [ 240 AXP \* 200 packs = 48,000 AXP ]. 344 XP vs 48,000 AXP. Even with the difference between Average XP and XP, the 48,000 AXP is the clear choice. But, that's spread over all the Spooky characters, and maybe you really really need Spooky Samir. Is 48,000 AXP enough to get Spooky Samir 344 XP? [ 200 packs \* 6 draws = 1,200 draws ]. There are 21 non-TPS-only Spooky characters. The expected situation is [ 1,200 draws / 21 characters = 57 draws per character ]. [ 57 draws \* 40 AXP = 2,280 AXP/Spooky ]. On average, if you spent the 120,400 Cake on Large Packs, you'd get 2,280 XP per Spooky, which is way more than 344 XP for a single Spooky. Even if the random draws go poorly, to get 344 XP is [ 344 XP / 30 XP/draw = 12 draws ]. That's only 21% of the expected number of draws at the worst amount of XP. Possible, but unlikely. There's a line where the Cake Shop individual purchase crosses from worthwhile to not worthwhile; to get a Legendary to Level 2 is 1,001 cake which is less than 2 large cake packs which is worthwhile for example. I just don't know where the line is.
